Fiver is accepting bitcoin for more than 2 years (Since February 10th 2014) and it was a good move for the bitcoin, it is good to see people happy because they can spend their bitcoin directly to fiver and other services, but i have a question, was it instant or you waited for 1 confirmation?

I haven't used fivver in a long time too, and it's nice that they accept it (even though they started 2 years ago). Never knew, might be going on fivver a bit more now since usually I use a different website.

I assume they don't pay out in BTC? That would be a lot more interesting to plenty of people.

I don't see any options to pay with bitcoins. When I click the currency tab ,I get listed by only existing fiat currencies. Is it just me ?

Edit : Just found this out http://blog.fiverr.com/fiverr-now-accepting-bitcoins/

Nope, they only payout via Paypal or thru their Payoneer card. Plus they use bitpay as far as I know for purchases. So they don't hold btc on their own.

I have used them several times already to create Ad Banners for sites and I paid for those with Bitcoin. These Banners has paid for themselves and I made a handsome profit

from them. They always have these $5 specials and I love the creativity of the people on there. This is old news, but still a good reminder that they are still accepting Bitcoin.

Please support them, so that we can continue paying with Bitcoin on their site.  Grin

you are thinking only one sided. you are a seller not a buyer. as you mentioned that.. and I think in fiverr buyer decide payment option not seller. most of fiverr users even don't know what bitcoin is. and they want to pay with paypal.
this is still a good news for bitcoin users who are buyers of fiverrs.

He can choose payment option. if he mention that he'll only accept payment in bitcoin in his gig boldly, make a note in your gig make the fonts big and mention that you only accept bitcoins. I think every bitcoin users if start only accepting payment in bitcoin it will be a big contribute for bitcoin future.

Yes, very old news, but maybe it's worth remembering. I don't know if someone makes an updated list of all web services which accept BTC, but Fiverr should be on the top of that list. I'm a regular Fiverr user, and I've been paying with BTC for what seems a long time.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

I always told me that Fivver was crappy because of the impossibility to pay using Bitcoin. But now that I know that it is possible, I may finally revise my statement Wink !

I thought the same way, becaus I did not know that either.
So it may be old news, but it has not reached everybody yet.
Every day I learn something new...

Always nice to be reminded, even if it happened a while ago. Idk if there was ever a post on here when it happened.

It would also save a lot of fees (I think they deduct the fees from the earnings before they payout with Paypal).

Fiver is few of those companies who adopted bitcoins very early and they will always be known for this.
