Would it even be worth mining this with a GTX750ti (2gb)?
I've been following DISK since the beginning but have been scared to ask, as I'd just be using my desktop GPU (and I'm sure you guys are packing serious hardware)

Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

ok...i wonder if i can mine Disk with my 7970's solo to my wallet using SGminer...
Reason being is I found 8 blocks in 1 day totaling 6400 DISK.... but my pool earnings will only be about 3000 Disk..
Its seems at current difficulty I am better off solo mining.
I will research solo mining with SGminer and get back to everyone on it.

I had my account hacked due to a weak password I was told. It has be re-secured and a stronger password implemented. Hacker was posting malware links using my account. Always use a very strong password.

What is the current difficulty and what ports do you use?

What is the current difficulty and what ports do you use? I am still pool mining at the moment ..too busy to research stuff at the moment. I am using ypool.ga:3501 stratum port. Two 7970's in Xfire show 8.141M:8.066Mh/s (avg) hashing on SGminer version I have. GPU 1 temp is 70c GPU 2 temp is 67c Intensity is 18. Current pool difficulty is 33 but was 18 yesterday... seems difficulty is going up, so I guess get what coins you can easily now before the difficulty spikes too high.

Yes it's possible if you're pushing over 100MH/s otherwise, it would be faster to just buy them. You don't want to miss out when DISK takes off. They're really cheap right now with only 14million total coins at the moment. Good luck.

There will be another update later in the week to address some technical things.
One thing that has been brought up to us, is a few users want to shorten the POW time-frame. Does anyone else have an opinion for, or against this?
Dev, what's the verdict on this?

Be patient it will come naturally whether you like it or not. You better be prepared when the time comes. i think this will not come, there are many people with 500k and 1M coins, you need 10 btc to pump the market, if none is willing to put those btc then it will not come, also more coins are mined each day, around 1M, so more btc are needed each new day to help the market grow

Dev, what's the verdict on this? We are still working out the specifics of whether to completely end POW, or just lower the rewards dramatically. Whichever choice we pick, it will be occurring at or around block 50,000. I will update you guys when a decision has been made.

Basically every detail you make in this post is wrong.
