I don't think the issue is that people are too stupid.  It's a new technology that is going to take a while to catch on and for people to understand.  Just like the internet and emails, etc.  Right now cryptocurrencies are new and developing and we are still seeing speed bumps along the way like scams, fraud, and mistakes being made.  Also governments haven't figured out what to do with it, so it will take a lot of time to settle in.

We expect people to go to the bank and withdraw $400+ per coin?
So they can buy the bags of the early adopters who got theirs at $4 ?

I don't suppose it has anything to do with the 7,000 coins made eh ?

Or how this forum is responsible for it all and has no rules against scams or ponzi schemes.

I have ..about 75% of them actually.

over 1 Billion dollars in coins have been stolen ..and climbing.

but yeah.. go to the bank and take out $400 so you can buy from me ONE Bitcoin.

People just don't want to try new things unless they have a really good reason or people convince them.
Using dollars and credit cards works just fine in there eyes so why would they even care about trying Bitcoins.
People need time to get used to the idea and time to find out it's not a scam or trick ponzi sceme 
they will come around in 40 or 50 years
