That service was long ago introduced here in the forum. I have tried it once and it was actually a great idea since it really saves someone time in finding stuffs by letting others do the searchin for them. Panagot has an account here he has a thread regarding this in the service discussion section. IMO, the site badly needs more advertising for the service to be fully effective.

I have a long forgotten account there... There isn't much activity on the site so I eventually forgot about it. But it is a bright idea.

When he launched it, he gave some bits to first few users here and IIRC on his website, an address is given by him (in which that could be used only). I tried back in the days but the questions were only few and even though some answered correctly, they never got anything from some users that asked question (AFAIK), since the control is by the one who asks questions and no moderation done to ensure the whole process be fair to those put an actual effort and find the correct answer first.

To be honest, I hope it was possible to delete inappropriate answers. I mean, I asked a question to find me the cheapest store and some user just spam my topic with their website and some even post a faucet rotator link. I left the website without marking a correct answer, lol.

If your answer is marked as correct, you will see your account credited with the btc reward. You can then withdraw your earnings, to your personal bitcoin wallet.

Provide a little Bitcoin with bitfortip.com to give the incentive for people to search for you online in order to win the bitcoin reward.

Used this site when there was giveaway not really sure how the tip works to be honest. But seems that the site has less interest from the bitcoin community. Need a great marketing to promote this site so that many people will use this site.

They doesn't seem to be interested in marketing as they (site management) are not earning much with this service. Its been quite long since they are in operation but not getting enough attraction from bitcoin community.

The concept is interesting but it seems there is not much activity on the website though. The rewards are too tiny for someone to be too enticed to provide answers plus the questions themselves can be answered easily by the OP by doing a Google search themselves and saving time without the need to wait for the answers to start rolling in. Also is there a deadline after which the OP must select the best answers and pay the helpful guys their coins? Because the questions could stay open forever and no one will get anything for their wasted time answering them.

I think the owner is doing a promotion again. I saw panagot has a thread on the service sectio and giving away 1$ for users. He didn't mention that it is for his site bitfortip but based onthe requirements I guess it is. You guys should try it.

I mean, I asked a question to find me the cheapest store and some user just spam my topic with their website and some even post a faucet rotator link. I left the website without marking a correct answer, lol. That is really too bad. People always find a way to come out on top themselves, even if someone else is asking for their help. The idea is quite interesting though, being able to earn some tips for helping someone out. If you need some serious help on a specific topic, it may still be better to find a dedicated forum on that subject and just ask there. Make sure to introduce yourself first, this will often give much more elaborate responses by specialists there.

This can easily be manipulated by sock puppet accounts. You wait until you receive the answer you waited for and then you give a similar answer with a sock puppet account and then you give a bit more detail and indicate that answer as the most applicable answer and you pay yourself.
Good idea, but not foolproof. They should give other users on the site a option to flag the most correct answer to the question and then payment can be done.

Yup - it's worth it only for people with time on their hands and nothing else to do. Still, without experiments like this we wouldn't find out what doesn't work, would we?

So, what is the benefit of doing that (other than getting answers from the community for free)?

Unfortunately people were withdrawing the free btc giveaways that were deposited in their accounts instead of using them in the site to post inquiries.

Well what else do you expect to happen when you gave them the free Bitcoins? People's greed knows no boundaries and when they see free lunch it's like bees on a honeypot Perhaps you could add a minimum threshold on accounts that haven't deposited coins themselves so new users won't be able to abuse your giveaways.
