I guess this is good a sample of the myths and preconceptions still going on around bitcoins. Quite informative I'd say.

First time I ever see the word "bitcoin" used as a verb. Sounds nice.
Next time you want to ask someone if he's bitcoin aware, just ask him:
Do you bitcoin?

This is a survival board. These guys are going to be extremely uncomfortable with the idea that Bitcoin is not tangible.
In that case, someone should send them this article.

Nonsense, if they really are survivals, they should be very happy once they discover the concept of brainwallet! It isn't exactly useful to have gold if it get stolen

So I don't worry too much about their gold.

There are actually people doing this? That pretty much is like playing reverse lotto. If a worst case scenario happens I will possibly not be screwed. Well, other hobbies can be expensive too.

Does anyone Bitcoin? Title is fine. Unfortunately it's only good thing. We have survivalist forum and p2p censorship resistant pseudonymus cryptocurrency. One would expect that velacreations might write in first post about: - censorship resistance - limited supply - much smaller infrastructure requirements than normal banking (any internet connection is fine for SPV) - pseudonymus What does he write about first? Some stupid games and ponzi schemes. Even talking about silkroad would be much better than this. I think this guy will slow Bitcoin adoption more than the one who harassed camgirls on some forums a year or two ago.

Yes. Verbs are powerful, and psychologically make things feel like normal, household things. Think: "Just google it!" "Can anyone paypal me some cash?" Companies seem to have even wised up to this and are naming themselves verbs: twitter, yelp, etc.
