Uh... I'm slightly confused, but a lot of ETH is just hype and people saying it is "Bitcoin 2.0", hell, there is no hype anymore. It has lost more than $3 over the past few weeks, that's nearly 30% of its value from that time.

Ethereum isn't necessarily better than Bitcoin, it has its uses, but it doesn't have as many as Bitcoin, and it doesn't have the value to support it.

At this point, I would advise against investing in ETH.

Yes i agree with you, but if i visit sites like coindesk for example (which was made for btc) they tend to write articles like "o you know bitcoin not so great we will see" and " omg ethereum soo amazing omg everyone lets jump to the moon" like wtf!!

The reasoning for this is that everyone wants to make some money, and they most likely had stakes in ETH and wanted to boost the value of it.

Even kids have manipulated the value of stocks to sell them for a profit, legal or not.

The presales were huge.  Then the coin took off.  So if you were in on the presales  you are taking profits.  Thus the price drop.

I can give a major reason the coin has interest you can turn a profit with a GPU.

This is a huge advantage over BTC.  Why is that?

Many sellers of GPU's   so  you can get real gear with multiple purposes.

Asic mines coins and heats homes.

I would prefer a coin with solid gpu earning power.

Rather then wait for bitmaintech to sell a high priced asic miner.

Two r9 380's  earn close to 1 coin per day and burn about 400 watts

a coin is 8 bucks

an s-7 earns  6 bucks a day and spends 1350 watts

This means that ETH coins have value.

I just now that Transactions in the Ethereum Network are still not so fast as in Bitcoin Net.
Anyways there was a hype. At Bitcoin there was also a hype and it came again.
So i think its the smaller brother of Cryptocurrency right now and stolen this place from the litecoin.

My brain is always not clear and my heart is not great as well.... so I always follow my gut...

My gut (feeling) tells me that ethereum is just like another litecoin, although my brain and heart told me otherwise...

Ethereum will make big inroads into the Smart contracts scene, but the ETH shills are selling it as the next Bitcoin in an attempt to pump the price and to make huge profits. If you want to be a bag holder, you can keep on buying into this, but I would rather buy a small quantity as a method to diversify and then sell when the price goes up.

Andreas Antonopolis see some potential in Ethereum and he also bought some, but he is not saying it will be the next Bitcoin. ^smile^

Ethereum is just another altcoin with the difference that it has more hype than any other altcoins that has came out.
and the hype is not real, just fake excitement to increase the price which is now falling down.

There is a FOMO brewing...

in my opinion, it's just Ethereum altcoin like other, which progressively increases through the support and interest.
Bitcoin currency has held all got used to it, but only ethereum develops and knows it is not so many people.

You shouldn't be comparing ethereum directly to bitcoin. It has a totally different purpose.

The idea and the tech have potential though. However, I don't think you will be able to make huge profits by buying into ethereum now. The top has been reached and there is not much room for growth anymore unless it takes over bitcoin. Remember it already was at 1/6 of bitcoins market cap before. The times of making 20x ROI on ethereum are gone until price drops again.

No technical advantage would make any coin wider accepted than bitcoin. Any hype depends on devs assertions, that their coin is so revolutionary and bitcoin is obsolete compared to it.
ETH could be profitable at the moment, but only in terms of short-term speculation.

Ethereum is not better than Bitcoin it's just an altcoin that is on a long pump because people thought it could raise to fame when Bitcoin was in the slump and people loved the fact that it can be mined by easily accessible GPU's but now when the dump will start to take effect the price will plummet and a lot of people will be left holding the bag.

I totally agree with this one. Bitcoin is the best Cryptocurrency, and usually the alternative coin is no longer to alive. But don't judge that ethereum will die someday. No one know, what would happen in the future.
