Lawsuits are about money, not principle. He couldn't have picked a worse jurisdiction if it's "about the principle" - awards of punitive damages are uncommon in Australia. Our legal system is also pretty intolerant of frivolous legal actions.
What court is he filing in and what is his cause of action? I will laugh at you if you say it's small claims.
|
All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Apparently Bitcoinpro doesn't realise that his friend is going to have to establish his identity in order to take anyone to court.

once again i will say i don't think he will get past first base, please refrain from trying to insult me several forum members are trying to discredit me when its between the SCAM company Mtgox and their customer they are currently scamming, also its not my problem though i really think Mtgox is a pyramid scheme and im surprised a website with thousands of users and people of such high caliber like yourself cannot see it Let put it in Basic terms if you give me money or Mtgox for a service and i /they turn around and say please wait 23 days instead of 3-5 plus providing lots of identification is this ok? why is their so many users that just cannot see the facts being presented ?

In case it isn't blatantly obvious, bitcoinpro, nobody is taking you seriously for a number of reasons:
1) your nonsensical blabbering is, well, nonsensical.
2) you make multiple threads about the same blasted thing
3)you come to a PUBLIC forum to spew your crap, and when people don't become the private army you wanted, you immediately turned to saying it was nobodys business but your friends and Mtgoxs.
4)this whole friend nonsense, if you're gonna make a story, make it simple, ok?
one last point: I don't care, at all, about Mtgox, so don't try to claim I'm some blind follower.

I'm not surprised. By law every single wire transfer into or out of Australia must be reported to AUSTRAC, regardless of the amount involved. I'd be kind of worried right now if I was your friend given that the transaction has obviously set off flags at the receiving end as well.

Mt Gox exchange rate is going at $367, which is almost half of that in Bitstamp. Definitely things are getting worse.

Definitely. With all those lawsuits against them, they'll go bankrupt. So.... don't catch the falling sword with your hands.

Definitely. With all those lawsuits against them, they'll go bankrupt. So.... don't catch the falling sword with your hands. Plus there's at least one 'investigation' going on, though they won't say what for exactly.
