Turning that topic on its head! Wink

In reality I hold bitcoin, not dollars. Smiley

I think the answer is no. The age of the billionaire will not be replaced by the age of the trillionaire but by the thousandaire.

And how is that supposed to happen with only 21 million bitcoins?  That's an awfully low number of thousandaires, don't you think?

Congrats to you, I won't even consider playing big bank/small bank with you. Thanks for giving a heads up. Looking forward to 2030 is beyond the pale at this point in time imo. The purchasing power of your million usd at that time will be significantly less unless Trump makes America great again. Cheesy

2030 is the last year of the expiration of the prediction of satoshi, so i must assume that the value will be very high or zero if it will be true

so even 10 btc would be a tough achievement, because with huge volume i would mean 100k in value for each coin

you can't say anything with complete certainty especially not about bitcoin, so it is all speculation about a far time in the future. but i still believe that bitcoin can be stronger in the future and the price will be higher.

but i am still not convinced that bitcoin can be worth $10,000 in the future.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.

Is this a serious thread?
Anyways let me make some wild crazy guesses here.Call me a dreamer or weirdo if you want. Cheesy
2030 is 3 halvings plus 2 years away. So a prediction is almost impossible.
But I say if Bitcoin will be still around in that time, it's price will be much higher as it is now.
In retrospect people will cry that they hadn't been around in 2015 when the price was in so low 3 digts."That was so cheap!", they will say.

Why worried about buying future???
If you have the cash, just go ahead and accumulate as much coins as possible currently, you will be able to make much more with that cash in 2030 than just waiting till the future comes...
At current prices, I think you can a lot more than 100 BTC with what you are having in cash...

do you really have $1,048,576? i think that's very huge money and with that money on my country you can buy some new houses and cars
and you can buy more than 100 btc with the current price so i think you don't have to wait till 2030

wow, it's a lot of money, maybe you can still buy 100 BTC in 2030, but it is better not to wait and use the money you have now. it might make a lot of benefit in the future

Bitcoin by then will either be really high or just linger to an affordable range I`m sure.

Or either that - you can probably still buy only a few coins if it was only that ridiculous price for 1 btc.

I know you don't have $1 Million, but I'll play your game. Assuming you had $1 Million, why don't you buy 100 bitcoins RIGHT NOW, instead of waiting until 2030 to find out? 100 Btc will only cost you around $42500. Heck, you can even buy 2000 Btc and still money left over.

nope if the price will be at least $10000 each.
you know, the demand factor decides what will that price be. if you suddenly buy more bitcoin then u will lead a bump of price.

out of ability to use the signature, i want a new ban strike policy that will fade the strike after 90~120 days of the ban and not to be traced back, like google | email me for anything urgent, message will possibly not be instantly responded
i am not really active for some reason

Most people here are dreaming to own 21 BTC (because of the magic 21 BTC number which makes you part of the 1 million club), but not only this, most people are having big problems making 1 BTC only.

In 2030 1 million dollars will not buy you 100 BTC at all.

The bitcoin price will be $100,000 or higher each. So $1milllion will only buy you 10 bitcoin at most.

I think so. The mass adoption of the bitcoin will double the price every year for the next ten years at least.

The bitcoin price will not be 1 million dollars in 2030. If the price rises 40% a year for the next 14 years, the price is just $50,000 each.

I do not even know what the price is going to be in 2030 so speculating about this is not going to bring us nowhere. You will have to wait for 2030 if you want to know the answer.

There are about 1800 billionaires in the world.

lets say having 1000 bitcoin would be equivalent of being a billionaire, that would mean we would need about 1,800,000 bitcoin just for those 1800 billionaires. that means there's about 19 million bitcoin left for those who own less than 1000 bitcoin.

This actually does seem plausible. It seems to match quite well with the zipf distribution of wealth (the rich always hold much more in proportion to the non-rich, bitcoin is not likely to change that).

this would also mean that for this to happen, 1 bitcoin needs to be worth a million dollars (in current days dollars). Which is entirely possible in the long term.

i would be surprised if you could buy 10 bitcoin for a million by 2030.
