Looks like we are going back up ;-)
https://blockchain.info/blocks408904 (Main Chain) 2016-04-25 21:48:28 408792 (Main Chain) 2016-04-25 00:19:49 113 blocks in about 22 hours should be 132 so we are 19 blocks under today Yeah, my affirmation is wrong, we are still steady at the moment. I was sure the hashrate was going back up ;-) What scares me is once they get next gen chips lined out. Then speculation goes out the door it's all guessing. The good news is still the price. Man has it been w a good week on it. Going around 468... I mean we might hit 500 in not to long if it keeps this up which is great. they waited for me to sell those 9 at 450

I do pay electric bill out of it as if I did not I would go pretty deep in investing quick. I can't even think of my sell number. I also don't think I could sell them all, it makes me feel like I have skin in the game that + miners. Makes it more fun for me. But I agree one day I would not mind fiat for some I have saved up.... just not quite to where i feel ready to sell them.

Wait and sell some at $2000 each, I have a few coins that I mined at that value. Not often you have a chance to make that kind of gain in your lifetime.

We are a LONG way's from 2,000 though. Were celebrating a 60 dollar or so raise from the 400 day's. But to get to 2,000 is not going to be a near term goal even with having. If we hit 1,000 anytime soon I would be very happy to see. I do think 1,000 will be hard to hold with sale walls and some cashing out some if it happens. And honestly we have been really just picking up last 2 weeks or so, we might stall anytime and not keep this gain going at least as quick as it is.

She has been so good about me mining in house for the last four years I don't mind cashing out coins. I have 8 ½ avalon 6's and 1 s-7 if coins jump high all that gear will jump in price for resale. Or I can just mine with them at the solar array.

I don't think we will get to 2000, even 1000 is hard enough. 600 is very do-able and realistic. I have sell order at 650, need to take some profit.

So the down-trend continues with Yesterday being -11.81% and 127 Blocks. Today the Period to date Run Rate has been as low as +0.52%, but we have pulled up a bit and 6 Hours in are at +0.8%. However if this overall pastern continues to the end of the Period we will end up at zero or even negative... Rich

Too date, my experience has been with Coinbase. I haven't seen, but have longed for, a method to put in a "Sell at X price" or "Buy at X price" mechanism. Am I missing something at Coinbase, or are you using a different exchange? Any additional info on that would be appreciated. If Phil feels this is too far afield, just tell me and I won't pursue it further.

Am I missing something at Coinbase, or are you using a different exchange? Any additional info on that would be appreciated. If Phil feels this is too far afield, just tell me and I won't pursue it further. You have to use the Coinbase exchange, not Coinbase itself. Basically you have to transfer BTC to your Coinbase exchange wallet, then set up your sell order. Conversely you can set up buy orders and withdraw as desired. I've gone through this process and it was pretty straightforward. I had a sell order up for something like 10 days before it fired off (I set a pretty high price). Although I did run into friction withdrawing the funds from the exchange. Part of the problem was that their web interface allows comma separators, but if you use them to specify the withdraw amount it fails with an unhelpful and misleading error. I had pasted the amount to withdraw and it included a comma. Removing the comma made it all work. There are other exchanges of course. I thought about using Gemini for my sell order. But it was just too convenient to use Coinbase.

Were almost to hit 470, right now were at 469 and change - https://www.coinbase.com/charts so very good news there. Still have a day or so in period for it to go up even higher. Bitwisdom has us at less then 2 percent right now which again.. great. Bitcoin Difficulty: 178,678,307,672 Estimated Next Difficulty: 181,474,058,138 (+1.56%) Adjust time: After 178 Blocks, About 1.2 days Hashrate(?): 1,235,895,416 GH/s So it's looking like this difficulty change will be a good thing for us.

While I expect it'll still be positive, it isn't going to be large, probably below 1%.
So where did the "early hashrate" go? If you had say 50PH that you could switch on/off, could you mine like crazy right after the difficulty change, and then turn it off after say 4-5 days? Does the math work out for that?
Glad this is a speculation thread......

I suspect a 100-150 ph place gets turned on and off. Pattern has been around since late NOV. as for a winner there are 3 of us with a shot. Hopefully I win it at -1.11 as I would just roll it back into the pool. Fnal picks -1.2% = philipma1957 and if it wins I will roll it over. +1.1 = mavericklm +1.2 = NeuroticFish
+1.6 = jmumich these look like they could win it. Some good news I got a new signature and it pays enough to cover the prize money for 3 jumps. this brings us to a july ending at the worst. So if the signature campaign continues on I will keep this going until at least august.
