Ok my RMA'd 3GB 280x card came back as a 4GB 380x card.

So I now have a 3GB R9 280x and a 4GB R9 380x card.   The cards by themselves are hashing average of 18-22 MH/s but I than tried both cards I am not seeing a hash difference at all.. I have tried to use it this way and I see both but my hash value is not going up.

ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -G -F http://coinotron.com:3342/molitar.miner1:pass --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 16384

So I have also tried ....

ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -G -F http://coinotron.com:3342/molitar.miner1:pass --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 16384 --opencl-devices 0,1

but than I only see gpu miner 0 and not gpu miner 1.

What is the proper way to mine with both cards?

If your are in windows:

1) Open control panel, device manager, are the 2 card there without an ! mark? If not, try to reinstall catalyst driver (15.12)

2) run ethminer --list-device, are your 2 card listed?

yeah it is most likely a driver issue

I always like msi afterburner as it helps with multiple gpu settings

and if the gpu's look wrong you need to uninstall the amd driver package then reinstall it then check it with msi afterburner.

In fact I had this issue this morning with a rig holding a r7 370 and a r9 380

The r9 380 was really weird   and the r7 370 was fine.

so I went to msi afterburner looked at my 2 gpu's and the r9 380 was locked on every setting.

not right = corrupted amd drivers (common problem)

I went to program uninstall pull out the amd driver I went to amd 15.12 download link  re installed the drive.

I check msi afterburner  and I could now alter the fan speed the clock on the r9 380  so I knew it was fixed.

I am now mining with both cards.

Ok the problem was I still had ethminer 0.9.92 version. Just downloaded the latest cpp ethminer 1.2.3 and it's now hashing good. But now I think I need to create a new DAG file after all this headache as I am getting quite a few invalid's.
