eETC's announcement vanished almost as soon as it was announced. Something seemed fishy. I would hold off on signing up for eETC at least until (and if) their announcement turns back up. Is there any way they could scam us somehow? The worst that can happen is that we dont get free coins? Im I missing something out? As far as I understand you can only be scammed if you gave any a) money b) private keys as long as you give just some email information and a public ethereum address you should be absolutely fine or at least that is what I take from the creation of these coins and how smart contracts function. The real danger comes when you have to install a unknown wallet to your computer because those could easily contain malware or viruses.

They looked like scam anyway, I guess all were trying to ride Ebtc bandwagon.

Maybe they scam unbelievable how quickly they were announced after another. Props to the creator of eBTC, he probably cashed out and made a few bucks because eBTC somehow has a few million $ market cap.

Is there any way they could scam us somehow? The worst that can happen is that we dont get free coins? Im I missing something out? Its a 0 sum game. If the dev gives 50% of the coins to himself (by sending to fake accounts that belong to him). And airdrops the rest to community, as soon as it hit the markets and people start selling, there needs to be a buyer at the other end. So a price is determined by the buy/sell market. When the price is good, dev dumps his coins and it rich. eBTC hit a marketcap of 15 mil and then crashed. How rich did this dev get? depends on how many coins he honestly distributed and how much he kept himself. Ive read there was also a "bug" in eBTC code where dev can make infinite coins for himself... GG!

I do not know what is the reason for the too many airdrops now a days, announcements section is full of airdrop threads, and those who participate always pump the thread, really annoying, some of them do not deserve the time consumed in filling the form.

Exactly, They are not even worth of few seconds of time. And peoples rush to get first. Other than exchanges and launchers are not going to gain anything.

Is there any way they could scam us somehow? The worst that can happen is that we dont get free coins? Im I missing something out? No, at most what he can do is cash out early and make the coin worthless. I think the creator of eBTC was quite brilliant in what he did with the coin, he created an abstract concept "bitcoin on ethereum network" which was bound to turn some heads in the market, and also the fact that he named himself "Satoshi" and posted a couple of announcements that he wanted to expand the dev team bosted the price of a worthless coin a lot.
