Nice project airdrop, I'm expecting a coin from this event.
Good luck.

eETC's announcement vanished almost as soon as it was announced. Something seemed fishy.

I would hold off on signing up for eETC at least until (and if) their announcement turns back up.

Is there any way they could scam us somehow? The worst that can happen is that we dont get free coins? Im I missing something out?

As far as I understand you can only be scammed if you gave any

a) money
b) private keys

as long as you give just some email information and a public ethereum address you should be absolutely fine or at least that is what I take from the creation of these coins and how smart contracts function. The real danger

comes when you have to install a unknown wallet to your computer because those could easily contain malware or viruses.

They looked like scam anyway, I guess all were trying to ride Ebtc bandwagon.

I am also disappointed by this. They follow the trend without clear direction. Maybe they scam

unbelievable how quickly they were announced after another.  Props to the creator of eBTC, he probably cashed out and made a few bucks because eBTC somehow has a few million $ market cap.

Its a 0 sum game. If the dev gives 50% of the coins to himself (by sending to fake accounts that belong to him). And airdrops the rest to community, as soon as it hit the markets and people start selling, there needs to be a buyer at the other end. So a price is determined by the buy/sell market. When the price is good, dev dumps his coins and it rich. eBTC hit a marketcap of 15 mil and then crashed. How rich did this dev get? depends on how many coins he honestly distributed and how much he kept himself.

Ive read there was also a "bug" in eBTC code where dev can make infinite coins for himself... GG!

This thread is starting to annoy me.  Noobs go spam somewhere else to gain post count, people come here to get info and not waste their time reading your meaningless bullshit.  Ref spammers, everyone report these idiots so the mods can ban them.  wcx, deep onion, coinstarter, qoinpro, etc have been posted so many times it's ridiculous.

Now to add something actually meaningful.

No Mo Ico Coin Air drop - requires Twitter
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2239369.40

BCShop.io - some social media requirements
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2223455.0

RareCryptoCoin - some junk eth token I think, looks kind of scammy.  Didn't read it that much, didn't care.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2232769.0

MarsProperty - requires tokens to receive drop I thnk, another junk eth token.  Only check out if you're bored.

yeah, this is very dubious, and also confusing, especially if the coin is not known the origin (founder or developer), it will be very worried happen scam

I do not know what is the reason for the too many airdrops now a days, announcements section is full of airdrop threads, and those who participate always pump the thread, really annoying, some of them do not deserve the time consumed in filling the form.

Exactly, They are not even worth of few seconds of time. And peoples rush to get first. Other than exchanges and launchers are not going to gain anything.

No, at most what he can do is cash out early and make the coin worthless. I think the creator of eBTC was quite brilliant in what he did with the coin, he created an abstract concept "bitcoin on ethereum network" which was bound to turn some heads in the market, and also the fact that he named himself "Satoshi" and posted a couple of announcements that he wanted to expand the dev team bosted the price of a worthless coin a lot.
