WARNING: You will most likely lose all your coins if you "invest" in his "100-150GH/s mining farm".

I've received this PM recently:

Quote
Hi, I'm new to the site but have been passively reading it for quiet some time.

I'm looking into creating a mining farm with the start goal of 100-150GH/s and from then on increasing.

The farm will be used to loan out Hashing power to users on various plans yet to be fine tuned (but a very competitive price and a lot of customization)

At the moment I'm in need of investors to back this project, Once set the Hashing power will be devoted to paying the investment amount back + interest then an amount of profits after will be given to the investor.

Already setup to go is a climate controlled room for the farm with a closed power circuit and backup power.
Also dual internet connections for redundancy.

If you know anyone that could be interested would be good if you could share with them.
Also if this interests you please feel free to contact me via the following:

Tyler Rice

Would like to know how many people got a PM from his possible spamming streak.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

How do you know he's a scammer?

Why would he need investors or even a climate controlled environment for hashing power equivalent to 2 BFL Singles (a cost of $2600)?  Who the hell is going to want to rent such a trivial amount of hashing power as more ASICs come online?  It's not even a mining pot plant, much less a "farm".

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Same here. Don't touch that - it might be a scam.

Scammer for sure, contacting one person on the site that is offering a lending service. If i was really scamming would i not go to more effort to make myself look less like:

Alright, so I've been PM'd by a few people what red-flags to look out for since I have a pretty good track record of spotting scammers.  Sometimes I get it wrong, but better safe than sorry.  Anyway, watch out for the typical behavior from scammers who will usually fit at least two or three (and sometimes even more) of the following characteristics:

1. New account (usually created within the last 3 months, plus or minus)
2. Low-medium message count with vapid posts of little to no contributatory value
3. Use of a seemingly realistic first/last name as their forum account name
4. Signs posts with full name
5. Straight out of Newbie mode right into Lending (requesting a loan of course)
6. Straight out of Newbie mode right into Currency Exchange (PayPal, Liberty Reserve, Western Union)
7. Straight out of Newbie mode and selling gift cards/codes/Steam games of any kind
(they'll often be purchased with stolen CC info, leaving you holding the bag later on down the road)
8. Any user blatantly claiming to be female
9. New user trying to sell an Apple iAnything
10. Sob stories asking for handouts

The climate controlled environment (aka Server room) is made and contains servers. also hosts a couple mining rigs of friends.
I was only asking for a loan to cover 100-150 GH/s of hardware as I am putting in that amount already.
there is no need to loan any more than that as it would be a steady start made to pay the loan off then use initial earning to expand.

Point is there should be a process put in place before you go ahead and post a libel about someone, Like it wouldn't have killed you to ask about what my plan of attack was, where i see this going in 12 months time, so on......

This is just plain rude and defamation of someones character.

LOL TylerRice are you trying to be the next dank?  Grin Grin Grin

TradeFortress has left me negative trust and has provided no proof to substantiate his claim. He has done this to discredit me as I am investigating him.
