There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

pretty sure the bears were just eth pumpers spamming fud.  a lot of them are in BTC now and probably want eth to drop below .01 before getting back in.

Oh yes that too. They are just waiting for that chance in the movement then move move they shall. Never trust a bear, they will maul you for their own advantage in the btc world.
