Where is the BTC address in Bread Wallet

I have started using the Bread Wallet.
Can anyone tell where is the BTC address which is reserved for us.

Can we create multiple BTC  like in Electurm ?

I do not know the Addres of the BTC bread wallet, if you want to get some Addres BTC, you can use http://blockchain.info/. Blockchain is the largest and trusted in the wallet, they can provide some of the addres of BTC fits your needs and they also provide good enough security.

No block chain is Web based and they dont give you private keys.

I Swipe and found the receive address. but when some amount is received in it, it gets changed every time.

Is there not only one address ?

Although I dont use breadwallet, I think there is no way to export the private keys (correct me if wrong). I recommend Coin Pocket which allows you to export your private key in BIP38, protected by the password of your choice. Simple and reliable.

I don't use iOS but I guess the OP is trying to backup/export the private keys used by the wallet. This can be useful when the phone is lost or the Apps is no longer supported.

Simplicity is breadwallet's core design principle. A simple recovery phrase is all you need to restore your wallet on another phone if yours is ever lost. Because breadwallet is "deterministic", your balance and entire transaction history can be restored from just your recovery phrase.

Your recovery phrase is where all your private keys come from. It is industry standard BIP39 with the default BIP32 wallet layout.

Breadwallet also connects directly to the bitcoin network. We have no servers, so no "support" is needed for the app to continue working.

Breadwallet is "deterministic". You get a new address for every transaction. Your recovery phrase is how you export all your existing and future private keys. Just 12 words, even simpler than a bip38 or wif encoded single private key.

I like coinpocket, but it is a "server trusting" wallet. It relies on and trusts servers instead of connecting to the peer-to-peer bitcoin network like breadwallet.

No, because that's not how Bitcoin should be used. I'd advise you to read a bit on the issue

I have the breadwallet app on my iPod. I also have it on my iPhone. Now if I use the (iPod) recovery phrase on my iPhone's breadwallet app, will both apps work or is the phrase valid for just one app at any given time?

Your funds are stored on the bitcoin network. Your recovery phrase is your key to access those funds. You can make as many copies of that key on as many devices as you like and access the funds from any one of them. (This is also why it's important to keep your recovery phrase secret, and never type it into other less secure devices like a laptop, don't take a photo of it, don't send it in an email, etc. Write it down on paper and keep in a safe place.)

Your receive address changes whenever it gets used, but old addresses always work.

I know this an old thread - I'm a newbie here.  Can someone confirm that the BTC address (on BreadWallet), which I could see on the (breadwallet) apps is indeed the "the Digital Key" of my bitcoins ? And if not where could I find the "real" BTC digital key ?

No. The BTC address you see is an encoded version of the "public" key that matches the "private" key. The private key (ie. "The Digital Key") is exactly that... private. You don't want that to be shared.

You can derive the public key from the private key... but you can't get the private key from the public key. Which is why you can give your BTC address to someone, and they can't steal your bitcoins

AFAIK,Breadwallet does not allow you to export the private keys directly for your addresses. However, Breadwallet is a Heuristically Deterministic (or HD) wallet. This means that with the "seed" (the 12 words you should have written down and safely stored) you can always restore the complete wallet and all addresses it has (and will) ever contain. The seed is essentially the starting point that ALL the private keys in your wallet are generated from.

Breadwallet uses "standard" BIP39 seeds... so should you ever need access to a specific private key for a specific address, you can create an offline copy of this website: https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/

Enter your seed where is says "BIP39 Mnemonic", click "BIP32" under "Derivation Path", select "Custom" from the "Client" dropdown box... and enter m/0'/0 in the Derivation Path and all your receive addresses and private keys will be generated below. You would then need to change the Derivation Path to m/0'/1 and see all your change addresses as well.

So, to sum up... if you have the "12 word seed" that Breadwallet generated, then you CAN get all the private keys, Breadwallet just tries to keep them all hidden, which is a "Good Thing"™

I wanted to ask if anyone has been able to take their Bitcoin address from Bread and the seed (steps mentioned in previous post) and import it into a new wallet.  If it worked, what wallet did you move it to?  I'm most interested in online wallets.  If not, what happened.
