Satoshi announced the existence of the bitcoin network and the availability of his software on the day he started it, on a cryptography mailing list. The first block is dated from january 3rd, 2009. In order to determine its hash, the first block uses a newspaper title from that same day, which proves that the date was not faked.

So no.

Interesting...
I heard something about he keeping 10%, not for profit, just to have power if some malevolent organization/government tried to harm the btc economy.

Centralization = Power = Broken Code = Corruption = Fail = Scam

bitcoin -Maybe by satoshi

litecoin - Not to my knowledge. but the difficulty is so low it could be cracked and centralized

Rucoin - Openly acknowledged to be centralized

what are some more / corrections to my list?

Good that you said that you don't understand Litecoin at all.
It has a small difficulty because it use the Scrypt, and not the SHA256 method.

If Satoshi was the first one to mine... at first he was the Network! Damn, that sounds like Matrix Cheesy.
So his hash rate, no matter what if was.. was the total power of the network. And of course, the diff would be according to the hash rate.

I didn't want to sound certain about Satoshi premining 2.1m, but hey, would be interesting to see where such a discution would lead.

It has a small difficulty because it use the Scrypt, and not the SHA256 method.

The small difficulty is actually a result of the faster block generation algorithm.  Actual difficulty in terms of number of trailing zeroes for the block header hash is different.

Not quite. The small difficulty is because it takes longer to produce each scrypt hash when compared to Bitcoin's sha256 hash. It's about 1000x difference when you compare the same GPU mining bitcoins and litecoins. So a 500 mhashs/s network hashrate is about equivalent to 500 ghashs/s for Bitcoin.

Thanks colbee,
litecoin is using script which is different then bitcoins.
This difference does what? are their advantages to each?
Forgive me, im so not a computer engineer. colbee, why do you think satoshi did not use script?
sha256 hash is 1000x faster and therefore ____? Better then script  for ____? Thank you.
