I would not classify Gianluca's choices of participants spammers. They all have clear, concise posts, ranging from 1-2 lines. Some may be shorter, but Gianluca doesn't care. What they are looking for is quality and constructiveness of speech.

How can spammers be a much better advertiser than those who can post constructively? Afaik, spammers only bring negative image to the service that is why it is not encouraged to let a spammer join.

You don't have to put the signature on unless you are accepted. So some people don't. It's not mandatory to wear it while signing up.
