You better ask them about it. )

Meanwhile we have a next video from one of buyers: https://dashtalk.org/threads/pinidea-asic-x11-miner-dr-1-hashrate-500mh-s-320w-weighs-4-5kg.8099/page-14#post-92080

That thing in the video looks nice, actually...but where's the actual proof of mining?

I want to see proof of on/off functioning, pool connection, hashing, work units completed, sent etc.

I am wondering too that there are so few good proofs for such a good miner...

Here is a link to p2pool stats for DR-1 working with one hashing board (another board seems to be damaged): http://bampfylde.doesntexist.org:7903/static/

Interesting review.

I'm sold that it's definitely a working X11 ASIC device, but the engineer in me would tell anyone that this device still needs multiple design enhancements to make it truly mass-marketable.  The key here is to see if Pinidea will/can engineer a more robust design that takes into account reports of vulnerable pins, connectors, legs etc.  If they do push out new units with those fixes, we might be on to something here.

Good start.    I am glad to see that they understand the need to push out units ASAP to the community in order to prove themselves.

Let's wait for the moment they will start sales again, and I'll probably try my luck with this miner.  Wink

So it pretty much killed the X11 algo.

The hashrate at an all time high and price/mh/btc at an all time low.

Now it seems to be that they're about to release new improved miner: https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/x11-asic-miner-dr-2-coming.8903/.

Yeah on that Dash forum, so many people are wanting refunds. I am not surprised. They sold like 200 units and probably mined with another 200 units with their own miners.

I have ordered 10 pcs of these USB miners, but it seems that Pinidea doesn't plan to start ship it out. The promised date was May 24th...

Try support(at)pinidea.io or shaoxinjiang(at)pinidea.io.

But they does not reply to e-mails sent to the last address for some time.

I think these X11 miners were all scams pretty much. The hashrate went up almost 100% in the last 2 weeks. They were suppose to not produce anymore but they keep making them.

The price per BTC/MHS/BTC is like 1/3rd of what it was 2 weeks ago.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a scam and I think someone would have to be a little naive to believe they would
limit the supply. Furthrmore now that the genie is out of the bottle anyone can build x11 ASIC miners, so it would
be stupid  of Pinidea to just give up the market.

The dramatic drop in x11 profitability will be a bigger factor in the decision to build more.

So this whole thing seemed to fizzle out.

Is there a US based reseller? Anyone actually using a DR2?
