Does anyone know anything about why Feathercoin more than  doubled in the last few days? I can't find any information about it so it just seems random, but a move that big shouldn't be. Sub 2000 sats three days ago, now trading over 5000, on no insignificant volume.

Good call on that. I should have backed my chart out further. Pumps are always a concern of mine with any recent price spike. I guess I was hoping for any information that might be to the contrary in this case.

I don't know of any positive new for FTC, in fact there are just issues with the wallet(s).

It's worth noting the last P&D also got disrupted by wallet issues (new version caused troubles, forks, etc) otherwise it might have been bigger.

Do you think they're actually related or just a coincidence? The only way I could think of them being related is if somehow the wallet problems severely restrict supply and drive up the price, but that seems unlikely.

I doubt it's related but I'm not sure.

Was too cheap before. I think it's worth this price. It'll probably drop again, though and rise on another occasion again, who knows. But it being under value at 1k sat is pretty obvious.

Feathercoin has long history. It has quite a big community. The price has been pumped and dumped before.

Totally seems like pump and dump. The top 200 ftc wallet activity also show much about the nature of the price increase.

still pumping along even overtaking Eth in vol on bittrex (need to change the tittle to trippled).

ftc fan as in its an honest old skool coin that still has support after many years. however the current does seem like a pump, though could be considered a rebound as its been a top 10 coin and many $$$ per coin in the past.

Seems just a huge pump going on with feathercoin and its not a wise dicision to buy them on this high mark. If  you buy now your bitcoin may got stucked till next pump which can happen again after few months or after few years or never. Be safe guys, i am not buying any alts at pumps.

Whales are trying to lure newbie traders.

Sweet, one of the few coins I was able to withdraw from crooksy before they closed. Syncing the wallet now, time to dump my last 30k of this dead coin.

while i'd agree this current action looks like a shortterm pump, ftc is far from a dead coin, community and dev team still going strong after 3 years (which is rare in this scene).

Glad my wallet took awhile to sync up and for me to get my FTC transferred, I managed to sell some at 10k sat, or 0.0001 BTC Smiley

I haven't sold it all yet, waiting to see if it goes up some more, but if it drops near 9k again I will probably let it all go. I didn't have that much, but at 10k I can get 3 BTC back.

I can imagine that it is that someone has taken a position, but it is a very impatient person if that is the case!
They could have slowly amassed a position instead of doubling the price in a day or 2.

Why will it be one of the major POWs in 2020?  I don't really get why LTC was popular, so a LTC clone seems fairly unimpressibve to me.
Time is on it's side, but from the oldies I prefer Peercoin and Primecoin, though they are way out of fashion!
