It should come to no surprise to anyone that some of the material used in episodes produced to date were gleaned from this very forum. That said, we're formally seeking input from this community to be used in subsequent episodes, hence this thread.

I think there should be a semi-strong emphasis on the legitimate uses of cryptocurrencies and portraying it in a more positive light rather than the standard "bitcoin is evil and used for crime". From the trailer, it seems like there is a strong focus on the criminal aspect of Bitcoin, rather than the positive.

An episode where the government is able to seize all the physical and financial assets of an unjustly arrested person, but they realize they cannot seize his gencoin, or stop him spending them to free himself or assist in his defense.  One where the true power of cryptography is made apparent to the average joe.

Cut down on the technical aspects of bitcoin for general audience .That doesn't mean show them how ISIS uses bitcoin for money laundering.Start broadcasting stuff like "Hey,here's how you can buy pizza with bitcoins" or "Hire yourself a personal assistant with bitcoins".Anything which general audience can relate to.

I get the "bitcoin is a company" vibe from the trailer and it makes me cringe. Might be just the trailer though. I get that its crime related as its easy to create story arcs around crime. Looks like they also play the underdog card, so it might be a success. I dont think it will do anything for or to bitcoin though.

In terms of marketing an actual "GenCoin" with an ARG similar to what coinartist[1] did with bitcoin[2,3] might get some attention.

Would be great if you can show GenCoin can be used for everyday usage, not for criminal, mafia or terrorist.
Maybe you also can show government/an organization try to take control over GenCoin, it would be very interesting to watch

Don't forget to remind us when the series comes out.

Now those things would make the show interesting to watch. Incorporating those ideas would make the good wife audience come to this show when they are wanting their series fix when that goes off the air.
Too see how that plays out in the series will gain my vote for this to watch out for when it comes to the small screen.

Make the holders gamble their coins on online gambling, virtual stock companies...

Make a guy open a cryptobank that promises interest. runs with your coins. Spend them all on altcoins.

This gave me lots of ideas, business wise use names to your advantage, well for my input, Bitcoin usage increases security and freedom not depending on an institution that might end up screwing you.

-Fast Efficient, Mid night purchase, emergency hospital payment, self purchase at stores after working hours.

- Shad more light on the positive aspect of using bitcoin not the ISIS and Drug deals parts, i know that just adds to the series time and make it more interesting but please do show more good than bad, or just make them equal, because "fiat" is the same  just paper and being government approved makes it different.
