i use to trade bitcoin and altcoins and i created this simple calculator for myself.
i decided to make a public version of it, maybe you find it useful aswell

https://bitcoinoutcome.trade

Quote

How it works

For example: you buy 50 ETH at 0.0175 BTC each on Kraken exchange* and you would like to sell them at 0.02 BTC.
You want to know:
- the current net amount of loss or profit;
- the net amount of loss or profit at a desidered sell price;
- convert the Bitcoin prices to EUR*

Fill the form in this way and click on Calculate button:

https://bitcoinoutcome.trade/image/screen_1.jpg

The application fetch the current market data of the trade pair (ETH/BTC in this case) from the selected exchange (Kraken in this case) and calculate the net amount of loss (in red) or profit (in green) in relation to the investment.

25 Bitcoin and altcoin exchanges supported: BITTREX, POLONIEX, BITFINEX, GATECOIN, KRAKEN, OKCOIN, BTC-E, ITBIT, COINBASE, YUANBAOHUI, BITSTAMP, COINCHECK, LAKEBTC, CEX.IO, BTC38, LIVECOIN, YUNBI, EXMO, BTER, C-CEX, YOBIT, LITEBIT, HITBTC, THEROCKTRADING, BLEUTRADE.

* Exchange fees are not included in the calculation results
* You can only convert Bitcoin prices to other currencies

I support any tool that makes life easyer... One small thing tough: on my screen, the letters on your page are barely readable... could you make the text color a bit lighter?

@ mocacinno

maybe you should increase the contrast of your monitor?  Cheesy
i actually didn't really coded it, i found good developer to build my idea, i like the dark color theme he made but actually you are right, on some monitor is too dark

@ Wapinter

thanks!  Wink yes the application gets the current market data from the exchange public api you select, actually next update should use websockets for (even more) real time updates

Indeed, my contrast is set pretty dark, but it's because of the lighting in my office... If nobody else has a problem with this, you can disregard my question (i still think it's a nice tool) Smiley

This is one of the simplest trading Strategy.
To better ensure fund security, i think You'd better add a new form element to set a stop loss for every investment .

forgive me if i misunderstood your reply, english is not my first language  Wink

the application has no access to funds or to exchange wallets or to your order book.
when you hit "Calculate" the server requests public market data from the exchange and with the data calculates profit/loss of your trade.
the app is just a calculator, not a orderbook manager or similar.

or you was proposing some kind of alarm when, for example, a trade loss is too big?
that would be a nice feature actually

btw, not sure when, but next version should integrate websockets for real time updates and you should be able to save a trade client side and maybe here i can put the feature you suggest
