Someone is trying to buy BTC from me and pay me with carded WU transfers, will this put me in trouble as a receiver?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I think yes, you will be in trouble, i have read here that people who get those kind of funds they should return them to the nearest agent, so don't accept these kind of money, don't waste your time.

Yes. If you knowingly receive stolen/carded funds then you are at least an accomplice of the crime the person carding the funds is committing.

I would suggest that you avoid this kind of trade. If you do receive a WU payment then you should ask that the sender pay in cash.

The one time I had to send some money via western union with a card I pretty much had Visa turn up at my door in a taxi and give me a Chinese burn until they were sure who I was. I didn't realise it was much of a thing.

Probably. It's better not to deal with them. Though the law would be against the user for using carded methods and not against you as can simply say you were unaware in your defence. But avoid all the trouble, ask him to recharge his PayPal and pay you with it.

Why are you even asking? Of course WU would ask you where the money comes from and will start investigations - primary against you as the receiver of stolen funds -. Do you think they're stupid and can't track transactions in their own system or just accept such fraudulent transactions as "loss" Grin

Not a good idea you will be arrested if they found some frauds like western union if its carding its illegal many people already arrested because of carding online.. many carder or people who are doing carding are arrested. you are not safe to use those carding without use anonymous ip or proxy.. since its a western union to receive it you need your personal location so you will be still not safe..

Don't trust those people who want to buy bitcoin from you and pay you by using a stolen card because that will put you in trouble and take note that he is paying with a stolen money and that is not bitcoin so there is a chance for you to get traced by the authorities because if the card holder will try to find where his money go then it will be a trouble because they can trace you.

That's why while dealing with an unknown person online we shouldn't accept any payments which can be charged back. If you can't find out the source of the funds then better avoid dealing with the person. I had a bad experience when I brought some bitgold which seller claimed that he used his card long back and showed me the proof as well. So I took it because of some profit but next day itself bitgold charged back saying that fraudulent transaction. They stated that seller used a stolen card to buy that gold. After that, I stopped accepting any payments from credit cards or brought items from cards.

I have also heard about many people getting legal trouble after accepting western union for their bitcoin. I have also gone through serious problem after receiving skrill for my bitcoin in localbitcoins. Don't know the source of those skrill fund but i got my verified skrill account blocked without any notice.

Just avoid any form of reversible payment methods for your bitcoin.

This is my first time to hear of this situation. Now, am wondering why is Western Union not blocking such kind of transaction if they can easily detect the same...or does it mean that WU is finding hard to trace such an illegal act? It would be an injustice for a receiver who maybe unaware where is the source of the fund he is receiving.

How does Western Union may know that this operation is not legal? Have too much deals like this https://fullzcvv.to/product/western-union/ in the net, real or not ?

Sounds fishy but please try not to fall for this kind of trap. There are actually lots of payment method where you wouldn't get into trouble. I know someone who does WU carding and accepting money through it is a big risk especially if it involves your personal information and identity.

If you would only know how Western Union carding works.
This is another form of hacking where hackers usually steal the identity of the person that they're carding. It has been roaming around telegram because hackers could keep
their identity through that app. They couldn't use the entire money that they have gained through carding so they're trying to switch it with bitcoin. You should be aware and stay away from people who are offering that kind of payment method.

This is right thats why even if the said deal would really be good but i wont risk up yet it would really be hassle if you would be put up in possible trouble.
We might say that carder is legitimate but we cant still be assured. So its better to let it pass for now.

Oh yes buddy! You could face legal ramifications and not only that, this is ethically a pretty shitty thing to allow. You might as well be tagged as a scammer for enabling a scammer this way. Legally, you'd be liable.
