Despite the high fall so far they're still making good money because they mined 80% of the initial STEEM to themselves, giving them over 14 million STEEM which is still worth over $8 million at current rates.

So while I consider it a poorly structured DAC and non-viable for multiple reasons, it's certainly lucrative for the people who started it for the time being.

More likely 6 months to early.  Everyone saw that STEEM price will drastically reduce. But at soem point it will get so cheap that will stop and then STEEM might become quite stable coin.
Big question is when will this happen.
