Still 1 good egg in the basket dose not outweigh the 1000 rotten ones behind him..

Still good exposure for bitcoin is always a welcome thing.

This is really great, but I wonder if anyone else got the message... They were probably all sleeping. I doubt he will be fired or replaced, but I don't think the EU Parliament is really keen on having anything to do with Bitcoin at the moment (judging by the lack of regulamentation... which is good Smiley)

Well, one of 751 members could only be the beginning. I have actually expected that the only member of a pirate party would be the first person who is holding such a speech, but she disappointed me on the whole line.

Oh believe me if they thought for a second they could "control & regulate" bitcoin they would of done it by now
Or it would be high on the agenda of "things to do"

I think the EU should focus on the mass migration of people helping the less fortunate that us to find a new home, Makes me so sad to see the poor children on the news hungry. cold, wet, no shelter yet these "politicians" are sitting debating bitcoin..

To be fair, this means that here are people within the EU government that are branching out, and, as long as people don't hate them, it might make the heads think twice before regulating Bitcoin in one way or the other. I doubt they'd want to alienate each other over one medium of value.

Finally someone that makes sense and had a good impact towards majority of members supporting this although the official voting is on April,26. I like the way he explained (simple yet good enough), and it seems that there will be even more development for other digital ledger technologies in the future, so it's promising. Unfortunately IMO, it will be tough to see most politicians trying BTCitcoin since they tend to stick with their habits and keep making laws without understanding how it works.

That is audacious, I must agree. At the same time, what if it's just another publicity stunt pulled to attract some votes? I can never trust these parliament creatures as their intentions are always opposite to what is looks like. Right now EU has Moar problems to worry about, supporting bitcoins is least of them.
