Does anyone want to take bets on whether the sale actually goes as planned this time?

I'm 100% sure they didn't get the money for the parts before CNY Cheesy  I remember that was their big batch #2 push.

so do you have to create an account to make an order?  why isn't there an option to do this in the store?

do you have to have a Wordpress account and who will be the payment processor?  if its Bitpay or WalletBit, do you have to have and account with them also?

No you do not have to create an account. You can fill out the information and submit the order. This will then send you to Walletbit for payment. Sent BTC as a guest. This will give you an address to send the amount of BTC too. Once you sent payment wait a couple mins and you will receive a confirmation email from both Walletbit AND Avalon Asic. This has been tested and confirmed by myself.

No you cannot order with any credit card service. Avalon accepts Bitcoin and Bitcoin only as currency.

If you like you can use Bitinstant to transfer money from a store to mtgox and buy Bitcoin. Money Transfers take about 30-45 minutes in most cases.

Does one need to have a Walletbit account and the bitcoins in said account in order to be able to make a purchase?

Thanks. One more question - any idea how much shipping costs? Is it included in the unit price or is it extra? While at it, were there any other fees when you guys ordered the first time in the second batch?

oh, redis cache is resized to 10mb when there's nobody online, due to respins, but production will not run into this problem.

Ok, another question - If I send the money to my WalletBit account, when the time comes and ordering opens on the store can I pay straight from Walletbit somehow? Are there any advantages to doing so (faster payment, confirmation or whatever)? Or is it just the same as paying as a guest?

In case of technical issues arising again though, I think WalletBit prefers if you send the money from a bitcoin address that you also can receive money to. At least that's what they preferred last time, since it would make less manual work for refunding partial payments.

I wouldn't deposit BTC to WalletBit though - they take a percentage fee from it.

As for the avalon store, it takes a WordPress account, so registering before ordering is recommended (by me at least) Grin

Edit: Link for registering: http://store.avalon-asics.com/wordpress/wp-login.php?action=register

(I have no affailiation with any ASIC manufacturer.)
