Is anyone else able to get to the xapo site?
I have my wallet with half of my bitcoins there.
It just comes up with a blank screen.
No notice of scheduled maintenance was made, so what is going on  Huh
update: it is working again.

Yeah, Xapo site is working again. But...
Let that short scare time be a lesson for all of us. Don't keep your coins in online wallets. It is not reliable way of securing your money.
Keep only fracture of your coins for quick spending there: no more than 10% of your total coins. It will save you troubles in the future...

Do not rely so much on web wallet because such stuffs happens. Instead, use a wallet where you are completely in hold of the privatekey so that you can always import it to any wallets if eer somethin happens in what you are currently using.

We can trust xapo and blockchain.info for now as they are quite good at handling ddos and hacking attempt till now.
But its always suggested not to put big sum of bitcoin or other coin in online wallet as they are vulnerable to hacking attempt. I find paper wallet most secure way to store obviously if you can keep that paper protected.

I do not think it is correct to put xapo and blockchain.info wallet in the same basket. blockchain wallet allow the user to get his private keys which is something very important. while in xapo, one has no control on his addresses. So that I have never used xapo and I used blockchain

Are your coins in the Xapo vault? If so then they're insured by a third party. I dunno what the deal is with their regular wallet. Either way I'm not turned on by the idea of depending on some greasy foreigners.
