The pair followed bitcoin from its inception, but 2013 was a watershed year for the cryptocurrency. “It suddenly became very obvious that bitcoin has broken out of the ‘very interesting idea’ phase and has achieved traction as a ‘real-world’ technology,” van Rooyen said. “Also, the potential of colored coins, smart contracts and micropayment streams were just being realized. This makes me think back to the days when public telephone booths still used coins. They tried every little trick in the book to stop people from finding ways to phone for FREE, but they still did. Then

they switched to pre-paid cards and they said this was the answer to the problem. Within the next month, people found a way to bypass this system and they created their own pre-paid cards. The only

way to stop piracy will be to charge people a fair price for the content.... and people will not mind paying for the quality content. Piracy is killing the movie industry? Yea right :
