We are coming to a close on 2018 where we didn't see much from XPTX dev but I am hoping that whatever the dev is working on behind the scenes, that we get to see it in 2019 because we can't have another year with nothing or else XPTX will slowly die.

I have also come across a new DEX exchange Amsterdex where the dev can submit XPTX and from what I can see there is no fee for listing. The owners of the exchange will decide on whether the coins will be listed or not so I don't see any harm in trying to list XPTX on there. Please take a look at this exchange dev! Yes we know my friend, however it would also help if the dev at least shows up in here to let the community know that he is still around as we haven't seen him for months now. We are trying to gain more exposure for XPTX by getting it listed on these exchanges but we also need the dev to help along the way so I'm hoping that in 2019 we see a lot more of the dev and some developments on what he has been working on in the past year.

Yes it does seem like the whole network is down as the developer run addnodes which are hard coded into the codebase are also now not working. I only had these addnodes in my conf file but since my wallet went offline a couple of days ago I had to get some addnodes from a community member in the discord. The dev could be away on holidays and doesn't know so I'm willing to give him some time to fix this issue.

With the way the market is right now I just choose to keep staking as selling now for most of us would be a loss anyway. Lets just hope that in 2019 we get an idea on what the dev is doing behind the scenes and hopefully it isn't something that another project is doing. It needs to be unique and have a use case like being able to use our XPTX to buy actual physical platinum bars or something like that.

It's a nice thought but the dev has already advised he will not be doing anything else. Blockchain/wallet are functional. This is open source, others will need to step up if changes are wanted. Someone needs to develop a website soon so Topia doesnt delist us (website is required).

Well the dev did say that he won't announce anything until the work is almost complete or complete however as the website is currently down he should at least fix this unless he has left the project already and doesn't care anymore. Maybe he was the one dumping XPTX to where it is now and got out? I am only speculating as we haven't heard from him in months now and the right thing to do from him is to at least fixed the current issues XPTX currently has like the website and explorer.

Thanks for sharing this as most of us didn't even know this explorer existed. I'll also put this link in the XPTX discord along with the peers for everyone to use. Cryptopia still has no peers and I know a couple of people have reached out to them and gave them peers to add but we are still waiting. Hopefully they fix this real soon as i know some people have missing transactions as they sent coins without checking if the wallet was online on Cryptopia's end.

Not sure what the hold up is with Cryptopia as several of us from the community have sent them add nodes to get their wallet back online but we are still waiting. Its not that hard to add nodes and only takes a few seconds of their time but for some reason they like to take their time when it comes to these issues as I have seen this happen with other staking coins in the past. I just hope they fix this asap.

Well we don't know for sure but all signs point to yes he has. I'm not even sure why he would if he has because XPTX was doing so well and holding value for a very long time. People just like to see some activity from the dev and to keep the website and block explorer up and running but we don't have any of that right now. The XPTX community on discord is trying to come up with ways to fix the issues but none of us seem to be experienced enough for this.

Just a heads up for everyone who traded XPTX on Cryptopia, according to their twitter page Cryptopia suffered a major hack and significant loss so who knows when that exchange will be back up again.

The wallet works perfect. The coins traded in 3 exchanges. What's to be fixed?

Is this a serious reply or sarcasm?  The coin is not traded on 3 exchanges.  crex24 is the only one working at moment.  Cryptopia is down and xptx was down on it before it got hacked anyways.  The nodes are not updated on exchanges as half of them are not working or online.  The main website is offline http://platinumbar.io/ and the https://xptx.io/ is offline completely.  Literally the only thing STILL functioning is the staking on wallet, after you update the nodes for most people.  Everything else is offline and not functional.

If anyone has ANY way to contact the dev, now would be the time to do it.  Or at least find out if he is dead or in jail.  Cryptopia being down is honestly buying us time to figure things out.  When cryptopia comes back online, if nothing is fixed, xptx will wind up being delisted and this coin will crash completely.
