I heard Alienware laptops are rich in graphics card features. Does anyone already doing any mining with these kind of laptops. I work in marketing field and I need mining equipment with mobility. Any suggestions from your experience would be highly useful for me.

I am assuming that the Alienware which is a gaming laptop should have a very good video card, this way you can try to mine ethereum which is still profitable to mine if you have really a very good graphic card there. Keep in mind that this may make your laptop heat quite a bit and may even destroy it in the long run. Keep in mind both scenarios before trying to mine ethereum, but if you have no need for the laptop anymore, you can start mining ethereum from now.

Mining bitcoin with a laptop = a big no Mining Altcoin with a laptop = a big no
You might be able to use your GPU (as stated above), but i would highly doubt that it would be good enough to make some profit... CPU mining will burn your (expensive) machine in no-time...
If you're desperate for coins, you're probably better off selling the machine for BTC in the market section.

While gaming laptops can have desktop grade GPUs, the GPU mining area for bitcoin is long gone. You need specialized hardware called ASICs.

My PC has 2 Titan X's. Easily more powerful that an alienware. But also easily less powderful than an ASIC. People use alienwares for gaming, not mining. Mining will decrease your computer's lifespan tenfold.

if it is wan of those with a pwoerful gpu, you cna try to mineearly some altcoin i t he altcoin section, do not attempt to mine bitcoin directly it's a waste of time
but altcoin mining on the other hand is quite viable with gpu

You will just burn up a nice laptop and almost certainly never find a block. You would have much better odds buying lotto tickets, although you still are extremely unlikely to profit.

Laptop mining may give you profit if u r mining Alt coin. If u want to mine bitcoin with profit, cloud mining is the only option for u.

yah alienware is a gaming laptop, and i will never mining with something expensive like that i have one of them and i only play games, anyway you need a cooler for him because in less them one year whem you start to play some game and the FPS goes to high he will start (over heat)
or you can open him and make it clean , but i dont recommend ! mining with notebooks is just waste of time (and maybe you lost him)

I will focus on two parts first mining with mobility... it just does not happen. You use a asic or desktop with GPU's and it can mine well but you will not be bringing it with you to other places easily. Yes some you could move, but it would become a pain to move many times. And as everyone said laptops are NOT made for mining. Even the best laptop gaming machine is like a deathtrap if mining at any kinda good intensity. Just not enough cooling. So you will eventually likely ruin your nice laptop if you mine it.

You should know mining takes a lot of processing power either GPU, CPU or both at the same time. You need a lot of cooling (space) which a laptop does not have. That is what laptops were made to be the opposite of - COMPACT It will overheat too fast and probably explode and the battery will burn your eyes and skin if your in front of it. I know not a pretty picture. Mining equipment weight too much because of the necessary cooling involved. I can't see anyone hauling around 100 lbs+ everywhere they go, not to efficient to say the least.

you should know how much profit you gain from mine that coin, your laptop hardware is more important and more expensive i think and if you do it you just start to burn your laptop.
Just buy mining rig and mine with it..

If you are mining some of the Altcoins, a laptop would be a great place for you to get some general experience. If you want to really mine to get some real money, you will need to buy miners. That is the best way to go.

That is the best way to go. He should just use his current computer to learn the basics of mining. The only good "gaming" gear that is used for mining altcoins are AMD GPUs. Using anything else that's not an ASIC would be absurd and yield no profits while destroying your hardware.

laptop is not intended for mining. it will only accelerate the lifespan of your laptop. for mining it is better to buy mining tools.

If your laptop has a crossfire of AMD GPU it may mine ethereum quite correctly and make you profit (if the laptop can live long enough) but you will burn it in less than 6 months in the most optimistic of the predictions, you can make more altcoins if you sell it for USD and buy altcoins, or sell it for USD and buy bitcoins.

Laptop with crossfire are hard to find due to heat. There have been a few.... but they don't really make them with crossfire. The one's that have 2 graphics cards on laptops tend to be a intel something for saving battery, and a gaming card that eats battery. Alienware does have a special base for some models that can connect to a regular GPU. But I still would not mine with it. I would look into open air desktops if truly serious about it.

GPU bitcoin mining is pointless, you may have better chances with Ethereum which is by far more profitable now for GPU but the thing with laptops is that they have the worst heat managment. It's not worth damaging a $2k machine for 2-3 dollars a day.
