I find predictable that bitcoin would be used mainly in situations where fiat currency cannot be used because of stupid laws. Prostitution is an honorable profession, and a junkie has every right to go to hell on his own way. Gambling is also a private agreement between the gambler and the house. So, by being used in gambling, sex and drugs, bitcoins is fulfilling its purpose: to be useful where fiat money is not. A complete success I should say. |

Porn has been a major driver of new technologies since the invention of the portable camera. Go back 15 years and look at bandwidth pricing for example. Without porn driving the prices down on a worldwide scale to todays levels there would be no youtubes, etc. |

FB 28.83 USD, 1 BTC 29.00 USD. Now I would not trade 28.83 USD let alone 0.994 BTC for a share of FB since that stock is an extremely poor performer. |

And well-fed men make up like 90% of all people who have fiat cash to burn. So bitcoin would be a success wilder than anybody on this board could dream, even if only used for illicit purposes. |

Indeed. My post was ironic but I do agree that this is a good thing, and it means Bitcoin is becoming very successful.
But I still need a correction to further increase my position, buying this close to $30 is psychologically hard after 2011 It will become easier for me either below 25 or, strangely, above 40. |
