Colorado Bitcoins

Greetings

I'm from Colorado (USA), and I haven't seen much of an interest in bitcoins here. The market average seems to be grotesquely high in comparison. I would love to put the Rockies on the bitcoin map.

Any suggestions about raising interest in bitcoins locally? What have others done? Any ideas, resources, or guides you would recommend?

Forgive me if this has all been said before, that's why it's in the newb section.
