They are helping bitcoin by providing more places where bitcoins are useful. We just need a way to tell all those people being cut off by the credit card companies that they can switch to bitcoins and continue their business.

I guess that's one way of looking at it. I remember how Google's actions against piracy (cooperating in DMCA takedowns) would actually make it simpler for users to find DMCA offending sites by grouping the "banned" addresses together on Chilling effects, so basically if you ever wanted to find something for sure, you'd just skip over the existing links and go straight to the chilling effects ones.

That'd be fun if they did that for the fund-cut sites as well.
