I do.  And I'm still up more in silver than in Bitcoin.  But getting pretty close, and if I count all of my Ag purchases (which is only fair) I am pretty sure that I am actually doing better in Bitcoin than silver at this point.

You are not what I consider a hardcore goldbug otherwise you wouldn't be willing to own bitcoins.

That's crazy. I remember when we reached parity with the $USD. That was exciting enough.

That's crazy. I remember when we reached parity with the $USD. That was exciting enough.

And I got in when it was trying to reach it again, albeit from the opposite direction. And to think I thought copper cents were a good investment with only 200% margin.

Today's market cap is only ~$300M. For Bitcoin to truly be on the radar, it would need a market cap of at least $10B. If it reaches that plateau with 16M bitcoins mined, that would make each bitcoin valued at $625 USD--another ~21X jump.

Then I'll be able to retire on my goat ranch with Maria.

EDIT: More math: $1T market cap with if all coins mined (21M bitcoins) equates to $47,619.04 USD each. I'm willing to bet that Roger Ver has that equation pinned on all four walls in his office.

It's a start, but needs some natural disasters, murder, sodomy, etc stirred in.

Bitcoin has grown well above $29 while Silver is struggling below it for the past couple days now.

Parity was not just a brief kiss, it has held Smiley
Even taking into account exchange fees and transfer times, someone could have traded their BTC 1:1 for Silver this week. Awesomeness!
Yeah, last night I got out a 1oz. round and thought about it as a bitcoin. I would sell some of them, but diversification is also part of my portfolio.
Look out gold, here we come!  Angry

Well, although I am confidant, I wouldn't be so quick to say, "it has held".

Two years from now, no problem. Wink

Two years from now, we will not be saying, "it has held," we will be saying, "1 BTC has reached parity with 1 gold oz."

I think a brief kiss just about describes the way bitcoins zipped past silver without even noticing it.
