Bitcoin wallet Mycelium just announced a large scale upgrade to their wallet platform, which includes many new features and also a crowdsale for users to be able to buy shares of the company.

It's an interesting way to raise capital nonetheless. As opposed to the "normal" route of getting private or venture capital, they are doing crowdfunding which I think is a fun way to get people involved in the success of the company. Whether it works out or not, is another story.
