[LTC] Litecoin Speculation

Lightning network is still not priced in. We will see soon a monster rise, and LTC will be easily the 3° market cap after BTC and ETH.

It was my initial plan and even i swallowed the hype that a lightening network and things like that will change the fate of litecoin but it is still the same,i did not find any significant changes in litecoin after the activation of segwit and the price also keeps on going down,i am holding some coins and i will be holding it for some time but my hopes are not that high.

True, most holder and miners are hopping to see price in 0.03 for one LTC no matter now bitcoin price is. That is hope for most holder, for me this coin is sure thing almost always you know when the pump is coming and when to buy/sell them. But to high is to expect that LTC will come to former glory, to many coins have better potential from LTC but this does not mean it will be like this.

Many here scream it's a dead coin. If LTC is dead, then I like dead coins.

Yeah, there's a high possibility that price of litecoin were continues raising. Because as you can the graph of litecoin it was strongly raised up. That's why I hold too some of my coins due to expecting high of all Altcoins in the market.

I think that dump that went from 29+ to sub 22 within few minutes, was actually a margin call on some very big long position. And as the price went down to trigger it, there was not enough buy orders to close the entire position at some reasonable level. so it had to clear orderbook pretty deep.

Many here scream it's a dead coin. If LTC is dead, then I like dead coins.

They are saying cuz its not been developed in long time but this coin has proven that he will survive no matter what come to him. Also this is one of the predicted coin on market you almost always know when will price jump or be dumped, and on top of that there are still miners that mine LTC cuz for them its profitable.

I would really like to see litecoin reaching $50 as i am holding it for a very long time and i had hopes when all the market had a rally and even litecoin started the movement but then stopped the rally after the activation of segwit and i still hope we might see a good rally.

Good rally might happen if all alts not just LTC follow next expected increase in price for bitcoin. Prediction are it will be over 3000 in this all alts need to follow in price. Reaching 50 in this case will be easy to achieve and it might not be the end.

Bitcoin will soon have all features like Litecoin - it will be fast and transactions will be cheap.
So there will be no need in Litecoin as a speedy cheap alternative of bitcoin.

Litecoin will always be here for some reasons. First the will test think that want to be implemented in bitcoin like with segwith. Second most stable coin on market easy to trade with good market supply, on top of that people are still mining it. Very popular in china. What more do you need besides this. He may not be second anymore but still he is good coin.

It seems quite clear to me that LTC very much underperforming with respect to other top coins in the last few days is the result of deliberate actions on the exchanges. Huge sell walls keep popping up all the time, pushing/keeping the price down, which must be expensive for the whales doing it. So what interest do they have in doing this?

I am still looking at litecoin for a hedge against btc dump, i think litecoin has an inflationary issue which is quite on the high side considering the amount of coins

Only 62% vs 78% mined (roughly), that's right, and a factor of 4 in terms of total supply. So this means a bit more inflation right now but I'm not sure it's an issue as such. I would tend to think that any crypto with less than 100 million coins will be considered rare or semi-rare in a couple of years.
