Hey,

I'm looking for a Bitcoin payment gateway to integrate into a project, trying to cut out a bit of the heavy-lifting for myself.

I've looked at Bitpay and gourl.io, but both of them have major cons attached.

Anyone else know an alternative that allows direct deposits into a hot wallet? Open source would be great. That way I can modify it to my needs, AND audit the security myself.

Thanks!

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Bitpay is the best at the moment. If you have some programming experience then you could use the API of Coinbase. It is not open source but you have some freedom to implement it on your own need.

If bitpay has cons i think that they have more pros, i saw today a video that Steam has implemented bitpay gateway as their payment processor for bitcoin so if i were you i would go with Bitpay.

Hey,
I've looked at Bitpay and gourl.io, but both of them have major cons attached.

Gourl.io -
The main attraction of our gateway is it is easy to use with detailed statistics, open source, reliable, website owners / vendors receive bitcoins directly in their wallets, no bank account needed, no conversion to fiat money. You can convert received bitcoins to USD/EUR/etc later.

We do not keep any customer's Bitcoins on our servers like other gateways. All received payments are automatically forwarded to vendor's external wallet addresses within the next 30 minutes. We use industry-leading technology (such as SSL encryption) to keep transaction information safe. This gives additional protection to our customers against hackers, etc.

what are the cons of Bitpay and gourl.io? Stating those may give better suggestions.
But if you ever change your mind on cutting the heavy lifting then check this thread ---> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990348.0

Coinpayments, bitpay, gocoin are some of the gateways that are worth to give it a go. Just give it a go, test yourself first and implement it. It's so easy.

If you want a noob friendly payment gateway and don't want to have hassle during setting it up like bitpay , you should definitely go for gourl.io but they have quite some high commission as prices. I used my premium tip (soccer game) received a payment of 0.001 and they send me 0.0008 so its about 20% ,but their OP here can explain us better. Still they are very easy to use compared to others.

I found coinpayments.net very easy to work with... Their API was really clear, and they had plugins for wordpress and shopping carts.
Mind you: this was over a year ago, so other payment networks might have risen since then.

I used for a little site.

Indeed the api is pretty okay and its working also pretty good so I also would recommend you that one, its easy and a good gateway.
Overall there are all kind of api's and gateways to make it possible with the bitcoin.

I also think the blockchain api is the best because its a good api and its straight from the blockchain.
I also like bitpay they have a lot of modules for content management systems..
