There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Don't do that until the halving as price will go high at that point, so you can sell at higher value which will allow you to buy some more useless things  Wink

I only have between 0.2-0.6 btc at the current moment i plan to save up more. As the bitcoin halving gets closer bitcoin prices gets higher. I will just stall it out for awhile.
yeah it is better to wait for halving come and in addition you can still collect bitcoin more. 0.6 BTC is a fairly large amount.
How long have you collect bitcoin that much?

You don't have to tell it as long as you can express of how many you are holding it now. Let's all wait for the price increase and the best rate of it will be after halving, I guess.

In bitcoinlandia, you cannot predict with any kind of certainty which way the price is going to go in the short term; however, if you presume that in the long term bitcoin's price will be going up, then you sell a little on the way up to protect yourself, and you buy when the price dips.. and continue to work on accumulating as many as you can.

Surely accumulating anything above 5 or 10 BTC would be good at today's prices, and if you can accumulate 20 BTC or more that will be even better... and it may provide you some cushion to buy and sell, but always maintain some BTC in your holdings, even if the price goes up a lot.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

It is not really smart to talk about how much Bitcoins who have I suggest that you keep this for yourself before you will become a target. There are some hackers active so I am warning you guys.

I don't think that it is that easy to hack coins from your wallet, bitcoin wallets are safe and secure, as of now I am having 2 btc which I will sell at the time of halving.

But I want to tell you that still, even if they are safe and secure you must still be aware and don't be comfortable. We don't know what can hackers do, and there are hackers that are always watching around per transactions.
If you secure your wallet backups with a very strong passphrase and on top of that you encrypt them, then hackers will not stand a chance.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Exactly you need to be careful at the initial stage, and if you have strong and secure password with two factor authentication then it is impossible to hack your coins

of course hold is very boring. because you will not know until when are you going to hold back because bitcoin prices is difficult to predict. so no one knows the price will go up? until when are you going to hold? yeah better spend it or try to grow that much better

I think you must be spending on regular basis, as I do the same, I earn 0.4 btc weekly in trading on regular basis, but still I have only 0.3 balance in my wallet, I sell my coins every week.

And do you plan to buy back?
Or is it just the fiat profits you're looking for?
What is when the price will continue rising and you've sold your whole stash?
Would you regret it?

I just have not that much Bitcoin I have only some about 1.2 Bitcoin and that is all and I am now waiting for a price increase and that would be perfect for us.
But you dont know when it will start and stop rising and that is the problem.

I think the target for everyone until when he will hold bitcoin is dependent on the person. there are people who hold and then sell if the price in accordance with their expectation. and there are also those who hold and wait until halving come. there may be a surprise from halving the price of bitcoin when it comes

Well, sometimes, I wonder whether some of the posters in this thread are trolls when they are bragging that fractions under 1 bitcoin is a lot of coins to hold, etc, etc...

Yeah, surely each of us are in a different position, but at these prices a lot of us should be attempting to accumulate at least a few bitcoins to have some stake in the game.

On the other hand, I understand that cashflow for some folks may be difficult, and they may only be able to invest $10-$20 per month, yet personally, I think the best thing to do is to attempt to concentrate on an attempt to at minimum accumulate 1-2 whole bitcoins, while prices remain fairly reasonable... otherwise, just do the best that you can with your own budget (and personally, I do not recommend borrowing money in order to invest in bitcoins, even though some people would and there is a bit of a gamble that it could pay off smartly.. but it surely is risky to borrow, if you are otherwise having trouble coming up with money on your own).

There isn't really a set "good amount of Bitcoin to have". I guess it depends on your financial situation. If you have 21 Bitcoin, it just means you are in the top million highest Bitcoin amounts since there will only ever be 21 million coins. Having a fixed minimum is mostly a status symbol.

I try to make it a habit to add fractions whenever my budget allows. It may not be much, but I hope the frequency in which I'm adding gets me to 2 BTC by the end of the year. With a little help from my side earnings on signature campaigns, that is not too hard to accomplish.

Have 0.3 bitcoin now, and i am pretty sad cause i am a poor man, reading your posts i am feeling so bad. I want to get more coins before halving comes  Cry

Halving is only a few months away. So you need to speed up your work. And it is not hard to collect the coins. Even if you take part in a fixed-rate signature campaign, you will be able to collect somewhere between BTC0.14 and BTC0.175 per month. I am seeing a lot of open slots in these campaigns as well. So go ahead, put in some effort, and collect coins.

I think majority of campaigns are only accepting higher rank accounts so there is no scope for full member or senior rank accounts and there is no guarantee that they will accept you.

Just took a look at the ongoing signature campaigns. There are several of them, which are ready to accept Full Members (which happens to be the rank of GamingBro). Some of them are listed below:

Merkle: BTC0.04 per week or BTC0.18 per month
Secondstrade: BTC0.01295 per week, or BTC0.058275 per month
Jetwin: BTC0.104 per month
Bitvest Plinko: BTC0.0375 per week, or BTCBTC0.16875 per month
FortuneJack: BTC0.2 per month

Also, there are other options apart from the sig campaigns, such as these:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1464992.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1319678.0
But they are closed to Full Member applicants at the time of this posting.
Bitvest says opened but the truth of the matter is that the campaign manager is away so much that he does not update the spreadsheet for weeks so you don't know if you are accepted or not. By that time the applicant has applied somewhere else so not to waste anymore time waiting on a response.

I hold a little at a time but end up using it to buy something with it like alt coins so I can possibly make more that way. It is a simple way to grow it a bit without too much fuzz and with just a little bit of luck.
