Old important guy gets given a lump of metal with obscure lines of numbers and letters buried deep inside. Old important guy puts lump in draw and forgets about it. Letters and numbers are even more forgotten and never discovered in the first place.

Old guy maybe tries to ram lump in vending machine before giving up.

Who cares? Bill is an old man, whose best times have passed.

Apart from that - who cares about politicians? Does Bitcoin need them? If the answer is yes, then I should seriously consider completely dumping my small collection.

People that think, that Bitcoin needs acceptance from politicians / governments (= regulation) to succeed are dead wrong. The only way for Bitcoin to succeed is through technical immunity against attacks from these creatures. That means improving privacy and preserving full fungibility.

it doesn't matter if he wouldn't use or invest bitcoin he has, as long as media shares the news, it will promote bitcoin. maybe his fans will follow him.

I'm doubt if he doesn't wanna know what bitcoin is. at least he tries to get fundamental information about bitcoin, even for a word.

I guess it's time that politicians start investing in the coins as it suits them also Wink.

I think that he will consider it as a gift item until he realizes that he owns 'money', but this kind of advertisement is good for bitcoin and i hope a larger application of bitcoin around the world.

There is no limitations in usage. Each and every common men has the right to use it. Now politicians might have find it easier for their large amounts transaction.

This would be not good if they are using bitcoin to hide their assets to avoid tax, like Panama Papers.

Not really, because anyone can do it, and nobody can stop it.
