Hey!

I've got some questions that I have searched around the internet to get an answer to but no luck.

Currently my setup is a 3960X, and 2 DUAL Xeon Machines with Xeon 5130.

The electricity is not a problem, It's really low and almost free!

To the questions:

How do I know if a Altcoin is better with CPU/GPU mining?

How do I know my hash-rate?

Could someone provide me the basic when mining with CPU, like setup your mining config, ETC

Thanks! BTC

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

In general, the most altcoins are better mined with GPUs. I've never tried it with CPU, but in my opinion its not worth the electricity. When you can get it for free, try it, but don't expect high results!

When you want to find informations about the mining with CPU, try googling a little bit! When you want to mine Ethereum, you can use the default ethminer.
