I used my Github student package before so you should let users know (If you don't already know) that you should deposit money into your DigitalOcean account in order to get the balance (you will need to send a support ticket with the coupon because the coupon won't work automatically ,at least this was the case for me).

I had to sent support ticket personally and they changed their ToS there is expiry date (which is after 12 months If you are inactive I suppose , just go and read the tos to make sure).

yes , you have to add a valid credit or debit card or paypal address but its digital ocean limitation and promo is legit from github. So its all legal.

digital ocean doesn't work with vcc nowadays due to no. of fake logins etc. they accept credit card or paypal. a little $1.6 is deducted from ur account which is refunded within 30 days and you get full $50 credits.

Well yeah but GitHub didn't really put out this service for people to sell accounts they create. Using student IDs to exploit services and sell them to people that aren't entitled to it is unethical and exploits both legitimate schools that provide the ID and the provider of the service.
