I don't think that it is compulsory as I have saw some members you have yobit banner in their signature and don't have their personal text message.

too late for rubies.
thecreed requires adding adress in sig.
krypton requires personal text.
i don't like alt coin anyway.

i even have my awesome 'FOR RENT' avatar.

Yeah its very hard for now to find high paying avatar renting campaign and hope other site will open an avatar campaign or rent it so we can earn extra money for our avatar. Keep looking hope i can find when i rank up

I would rather have an avator if I ran a business anyway. Draws more attention. Ok sure its not clickable and you can't copy paste but you could ad a personal text message.

you are enrolling in yobit signature campaign. i thought yobit requires their personal text message? if not i think you can try Krypton campaign.

Yeah avatar is more attracting to eye for most of all furom users here because the first they see is the avatar attach in the  accounts, thats why it is good for advertisement and we hope we see another avatar campaign existing and still open  and its good for those who own business to try avatar space campaign so that we can also earn for our avatar space thats another income to us and advertising also for company like helping each other.

Probably they don't worry about spam and its consequences on this forum. They have weekly limits for sig campaigns that converting users into spammers.

Unlike signature's you can easily go to the link of the campaigns that you are endorsing with just one click.

Unlike avatar you can't click avatars and if you saw an interesting ad you will need to take time for typing the websites address.

The best way of advertising is complementary using Avatar+Signature. And please see some more advanced signature designs and tell me that they are less visible and visually pleasing than avatars.
Renting avatar alone is very hard, because you can't click an avatar, there is no link behind it to take you to advertised site. Logo alone is enough.

Nowadays there is a lack of campaigns both avatar and signature, you have to wait for more companies to start their campaigns, but don't know that when will a company announce for it campaign, but make sure someone will come to start an avatar campaign.

Plus till someone start an avatar campaign, I will suggest to post your own avatar of your choice , which will reflect your identity in the campaign, just like I have choose my own avatar. If you not find any avatar I can help you to create one attractive for you.

we are bunch of full members here and away from senior rank really far. slots for full members in rubies avatar campaign were full even earlier than for senior ones.
