I'm currently developing a Blockchain.info client for Windows Phone 8, and I'd like to hear your suggestions.

What are the most important features you would like to see in a mobile Bitcoin wallet?

What would you need to "trust" the software (beside making it open-source, which I will)?

Do you currently use Blockchain.info?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Some screenshots.

Did you post about this in r/Bitcoin? If so, I really dig what you're trying to do here. I like what Microsoft is doing with Windows Phone 8 and the more apps, the better things will become for the platform.

Yes, I also posted it in /r/Bitcoin.

I love WP8, but there's no bitcoin client available for it. So I decided to build one.

Do you have any specific feature requests or design concerns?

I'm still wondering if I should:
  • make the balance visible at all time
  • only show a single currency at once (with a toggle button)
  • show full bitcoin address in the transaction list
  • change the date to "X time ago"
  • add "send" and "receive" in the pivot control
  • duplicate the QR code in a sperate "receive" page
  • make it easy to use multiple wallet/public keys, or keep it simple with a single one
  • etc.

I would keep the balance visible at all times and give the user options to use all of the addresses in their Blockchain.info account. The Blockchain app for iPhone is pretty straightforward and easy to use, so you might want to look at them for inspiration. Since Win Phone 8 features Live Tiles, it'd be neat to display the balance in the live tile or even the BTC to USD (or other currency) exchange rate. Start adding more features once people start to download it and you get feedback from actual users.

Will do.

I'm thinking about integrating MtGox in it, too.

This is good news for me as I'm waiting for my Lumia 920 to arrive and I'm using blockchain.info.

I'm not sure what the WP8 wallet is meant for/can be used for, but do you think the WP8 wallet could be integrated in some meaningful way with this?

Hi. I really want to use your program, but there is no 2-factor auth in it, so i couldn't.
When I trying to use your app, the 2-fA message comes to me, but i couldn't enter auth code, there are no field for it in app.
Also, i have wrote this in WP marketplace comments long time ago, but still no reaction Cry is this so hard to implement?

Hi Miguel,

I have a Nokia Lumia 822 Windows 8 phone.  When I try to scan the QR pairing code the pone will not zero in on the code.  It says "scanning" for a few seconds then goes right back to the "pair wallet" screen

Thanks,
Mark
