Of course not! Those who are familiar with the dollar, but almost all! Who is familiar with Bitcoin? Only technically competent people, young people. The older generation has not heard and do not want to hear about some Bitcoins there, they were accustomed to the old-fashioned use dollars.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Until we have relation BTC/USD, USD is safe from bitcoin. Bitcoin first need to establish itself as a real currency - stable and adopted much better than today. Then we need something bad to happen to dollar, but this will impact whole world, and bitcoin also.
USD will stay!  Bictoin only can take part of USD cake..

No, bitcoin is not popular than dollar, dollar is currently in used all over the world and everyone know about that while bitcoin is new to everyone and a large amount of the community do not know about that, and from a few days the bitcoin price is not increasing, it means that people are not going to invest their money to buy anymore bitcoins, I think even the supporters of bitcoin are going to dump it.

It's the case for Gold because it exists since "forever" a while Bitcoin exists since seven years so nop .. It's not more popular then USD or any other fiat currency.

Well, I think that actually the Bitcoin is more popular than some fiat like the Vanuatu's Vatu or the East Caribbean dollar  Grin

I don't think that, bitcoin is not the real money , also it is not accepted everywhere so there comes a requirement to convert bitcoin to dollar or some other currency only then we can use it.

BTC can not be so popular as USD, because as you can understand USD is global currency. Largest banks are using USD in the whole world. USD in shortly is global currency Nr. 1  Grin

Bitcoin is getting more popular and that is nice for the currency because as you can see now you see also that the value will be more worth and it is becoming also more acceptable.
And that is perfect for the currency because as you can see now you see also that everything is also getting more digital.

Unfortunately a big NO by a mile of differences in this term since USD is the most used money of all kind and BTCitcoin is still considered to be on it's initial stage and majority of worlds population don't use it nor most haven't even heard about it until now (unfortunately). But surely for the years to come, it's going to change as recently there are already some countries that have ditched trading in USD and instead use other fiats or monetary options and surely BTCitcoin will solve a lot of other problems in regards to this.

Can't say about popularity but it is definitely less famous than USD. USD is fiat and more people are aware of it and is accepted almost everywhere but bitcoin is digital currency and this is a new concept compared to fiat and most of the people in many countries are still aware of it.

The US Dollar isn't necessarily more popular as currency. The point is that people have no other option than using it, so they use it. More people start to understand that saving fiat money won't make them any money, but makes them lose in the long term. Not in amount but in purchasing power. Bitcoin is the perfect alternative for that.

This is spot on, most people dont have an option.

Until they discover what bitcoin is, then they consider bitcoin. But anyone out there who isnt aware of it, its a daily known forced only choice concept.

I also love the bitcoin more but you are right about the fact if the dollar collapse the bitcoin will also will go down for sure.
I think the bitcoin is now still depending on it and till that the USD will always win.

You are exactly right about this, the bitcoin is still depending on the dollar and if this stays like this the dollar will always win.
Another fact is of course also that the dollar is way bigger so I think the bitcoin will never win.

The bitcoin will still be dependable for a pretty long time on the USD because of this it will indeed not win every from the bitcoin.
The USD is also getting more popular digitally so I also think the bitcoin will honestly never lose from the bitcoin although I like the bitcoin 10 times more.

I don't get it, you mean Bitcoin is popular or not ?
Anyway it's not popular as USD nowadays without doubt, the Dollar's usability is a lot more than Bitcoin, but everything could change in the future.
