In my opinion, yes, because bitcoin is way better than USD. You can use it virtually, it is irreversible, and it has a limited amount of bitcoins that can ever exist in the world. As opposed to the fiat currencies.

USD doesn't retain in value over time, but BTC does.

Dollars are better than Bitcoins. There's no doubt. I don't have to purchase dollars with other currency to buy things that I'd normally buy anyway.
Bitcoin is designed to allow its users to send and receive payments with an acceptable level of privacy as well as any other form of money.

Not just the market cap ($8 billion vs $1.5 trillion), but look at the number of users as well. Right now, there are less than 100,000 active users of BTC (conservative estimates are even lower, usually in the low tens of thousands). Compare that with the 1 billion or so individuals and entities, which use the United States Dollar.

The honest answer is no, because the price is bitcoins itself is determined in value of USD , and hence USD is much more popular. But yeah people who keep usd in their wallets are much less than people keeping btc in their wallet !

Well that's the truth that bitcoin not near to dollar even its price and popularity now is very on the trend. But of course, bitcoin will always be bitcoin
and dollar will always be dollar.
What I mean? Dollar is there long time ago and people use to rely on it rather than btc.

But the thing is, nowadays people want what's on trend. No matter how unclear something is to them, they will buy it and will use it if the item is the new trend. Bitcoin is kind of a trend to internet people, those people who only spend time on facebook, twitter, Instagram, doesn't know much about bitcoins. But if their favorite celebrity promotes bitcoin, then surely they will push themselves to know about bitcoin and eventually learn how to use it. The social media controls the majority of people today. Surely if BTC gets promoted in social media sites, it'll have a lot of impact and dollars might somehow be affected.

Big No! Like always in similar threads I wish to point age difference between this two currencies. First is very old, second is young. Lets wait minimum 20 years more and then maybe we can compare one big and strong currency, with rich history with other young and not fully adopted.

But for example you can try to compare btc with some other currency, some that is not old, and widely spread. Then you can understand why bitcoin is growing so fast, and now it become more popular then some low level currencies.

Yeah it's just a dream it will never change that bitcoin can be replace usd.. bitcoin is just a kind of internet money or digital currency online that we use it for paying for services or buying something online but not all stores are accepting bitcoin as of now. .but theres a few..  usd still remain because its already know by many people and if they use bitcoin they are afraid of scammers..

for now maybe I prefer bitcoin. everyone was focused on bitcoin, because the price is rising rapidly, this could be a good investment. whereas usd currently can only be used as a means of transaction

bitcoin is also globally accepted everywhere, but only banned in few country, the fact that not many are using it it does not mean that it is not accepted there, just not well known
