Novacoin is a scam. Wouldn't want you to be manipulated into buying something that was started as a scam and still is. Price pumped up to $1.30 today.

Beware. You have been warned.

Also...welcome!

Smoothie, is there a coin aside from Bitcoin that you don't consider a scam?  Grin

That's what they called bitcoin in its early days. They also called it a ponzi scheme. I have faith that one day Litecoin will be popular, (and I will be rich  Wink) Novacoin on the other hand...

I don't believe any altcoins are a "scam" per se. Some may be successful, some may not. Just like Bitcoins in their early days. People who bought them were taking a risk...and it obviously paid off. Although, my 2 cents says that there really is no place for an altcoin w/BTC becoming so ubiquitous.

If the bitcoin devs cant work out the block size before the limits get hit then there will need to be  a backup coin to handle scaling issues.

we do not "need" a backup coin, Bitcoin is fine, LTC will gaine value because it was in the right place at the correct time, ASIC proof means that a high percent of gpu mine (25%-35%) will switch to LTC.

And the most important thing, LTC has the bigest userbase after BTC.

There are a payment procesor working in a solution for LTC and lot of projets working for LTC.

We need an alternative coin for speculators to trade against BTC without using us dollars :-)

you know, some people hate fiat currency.

REMEMBER: THE VALUE OF A COIN COMES FROM ITS NETWORK EFFECT.

BIG USER BASE=MORE PEOPLE TRYING TO GET THE COIN=HIGHER VALUE (ignore unknows coins with artifically manipulated high prices), You can spot these cases (if any) in the graph above)
