Hi everybody Smiley I know I am way late to posting here, but I don't know of another way of asking... aka begging I guess, to get into the ripple network. I would love to try out the system with my bitcoins, but I need ripples before I can ever think about it. I have been waiting since I signed up on their website on the 13th for any hope, but got nothing so far... I know everybody and their mother is trying to get their hands on ripples, and that stinks, because since they have put the reserve of xrp as a requirement... I need some too... here is to hoping someone would be kind to a complete stranger  Huh

Hi would-be and current Ripplers, I'm in the process of opening a store online that only accepts Bitcoin, I'm very curious about adding Ripple to the mix. I'm eager to test it out, happy to bounce some back and forth, if anyone wants to help me get started experimenting please see the below collection plate. Many thanks!

Hmmm it's too early to tell if it's a scam or not, just because they have all the ripples...

Guys, please click on the link in my signature and educate yourselves about Ripple.

Its a coin that has no mining - all XRP was issued by a for-profit company named OpenCoin which has many employees and people here on BTCTalk they pay to promote what is essentially a giant ponzi scheme.

The owners sell their XRP for BTC and profit, and when the whole thing collapses, you dont want to get left holding the bag.

It's my understanding that Ripple is actually more of a distributed exchange than a cryptocoin; it doesn't matter much how much the XRP is worth, it is supposed to be just a temporary state between two different coins, and since the transfers are usually pretty quick, regardless of how much it is worth before and after, when you transfer money to someone, other than the transfer fee, there is no loss. You shouldn't be holding any more XRP than you really need.

You only need about 50 Ripples to get started now, instead of 300 but I'm sure that was pointed out above.  I'll be happy to send 50 ripples each to the first 10 people who ask for them here.   I'm also buying Ripples and here is my thread for that:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190456.msg1972861#msg1972861

I also encourage people to open an acct with Bitstamp and easy to get $ in your Ripple acct through there to buy more.  It took me awhile to figure that out.   But you can easily send BTC to Bitstamp and then convert those to USD if you want or just put them in your Ripple acct and use them to buy more XRP.  I recommend having at least 1000 of them in your account if you want to do a lot of trading.
