I tried a few times in the past to look for a Litecoin pool to join. Found a thread/wiki/github or something with some names of different pools. I think half of them were inactive, and the rest had a ton of fees, were being DDoS'd, or you couldn't register. With BFL getting ready to ship out their new tech, I'm going to be switching my GPUs over to Litecoin. Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to have something with PPS and minimal/no fees. But I'll take what I can get. Thanks

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I'll second this. We aren't the biggest pool but the developer is awesome. He's had enhancements done within a few hours of me requesting them. Smiley

Will anything be worse for me as a US Miner connecting to LH?

I have just switched from Burnside's pool Sad I'm bummed out but the stale rate has been a third of my shares for the last day or two.

Now I am mining on litecoinpool.org and enjoying the boost of accepted shares. (<1% stale) The system is PPS and I started mining on burnside's which is PPLNS. I am not sure the real difference in "feel" of the two yet, so I can't decide which I prefer. I see LH has 1% and block rewards... how different is that from litecoinpool's 3%? do you find as many blocks as LTCP?

the amount of blocks found is related to the hasrate the pool has. Of course if you are on a bigger pool you are finding more blocks than a pol with lower hashrate. But your income should nearly be he same as you are getting a "bigger piece" of the block on small pools.
(you are getting more often little amounts on big pools, thus fewer but bigger amounts on little ones)
So it should be equal in wich pool you are mining if the have the same fee.

(hope that is right mostly, I am not that expert though!)
