Yep, I'm an Anti-Troll.

Going long on BitCoin.

5 years from now let's see where the chips fell.

Just wish I could afford to buy more!

It is funny - an entire economy of bitcoins is currently split among nerds. Most others still know nothing about this.

I'm assuming that the doom and gloomers are those that currently don't have any bitcoins , can't or won't pay current rates, and want to drive prices down so they can buy in.

I don't own that many. Just a handful. bought in low teens so happy with where it's at now.

I've got some cash in trading account to purchase more if it drops.

I'm purely looking at it as a hedge against inflation of the dollar.

Up or down. I'm going along for the ride.  Been a riot so far.

Bitcoin absolutely needs more buyers to stabilize the market. However, news of the govt getting involved and going after MtGox is going around. So the buyers and potential buyers are losing trust and the people with a lot of bitcoins want to get out while they can still be ahead. What to do?

Slush said just now in his own thread over at mining that he believes there is a correlation between DoS against his & deepbit pool in the last 1 hour and temporary price drop.

Maybe someone desperately wanted to buy BTC at cheap prices?

Computerparts, if they attempt to outlaw it there will still be people that will own it, and trade in it.

right now it's a lot of FUD being spewed everywhere.

you have to figure what BitCoins means to you and go from there.

If you jumped on board to make a few bucks fine.
If you are worried you are going to loose everything, then might be time to get out.
If you want to see if this can be another item in your investment portfolio great.

I myself want to buy more bitcoins and hope to find a brick and mortar to spend them on.

I wish i was able to mine but no time to build or buy a rig.

to me this is all about a govt-free non inflational currency that i can spend where ever I like.

I can always encrypt my wallet on to a memory stick, put it away for a rainy day. It will either be worth something or nothing. either way i'm ok with it because i have not invested my life savings into it. just one piece of the pie, albeit currently a very small piece.

If you want to sell in the future, drop me a pm. (even if they outlaw it ;-))

What do you think of the reasoning? Anything missing that would need to be discounted?

my brain is out of fuel for tonight, but i surely do hope as well that the potential has not even been scratched yet. maybe it will not reach the mass adoption that you prospect, but still a tangible fraction of it surely would suffice for a while at least for me.  Lips sealed
