Given that he seems very arrogant and quite a weird type of person, does this taint your view of Bitcoin?

Most people won't mind as long as he doesn't sell his coins. If he tanked the price people would get upset very fast.

(A few hard core people mind, because they liked the idea that Satoshi was out of the picture when it came to decision making).

It doesn't matter to me as long as Bitcoin still offers better features than my bank service and I can be sure that my Bitcoin investment won't be destroyed overnight if Craig went on a power trip and his bad decisions drove the price to the ground.

I don't see how it could matter to anybody, we're here for the Bitcoin not Satoshi. Satoshi doesn't have any more power than anybody else in Bitcoin and that's what makes it so great.

Yes we all who run bitcoin nodes are satoshi and if even real satoshi get revealed in anytime in future, i am sure he will not be selling those all 1 million coin in one go to kill his own creation. So even if it get proved that craig is satoshi in future, there is no reason to dislike or to dump bitcoin.

To be honest I think the mistery of Satoshi identity gave Bitcoin plenty of mysticism and idealism. The whole p2p, decentralized economic utopia message is better served if the creator is unknown or if there were many of them. Even if Craig Wright says he wants to be forgotten and does not want fame, he is still in the spotlight and Bitcoin will now enter a new age, for better or worse.

no issue for me, as long as bitcoin still exist even the true idenetity of the creator of this coin that we love already revealed what will be the difference? same usage and same process we just needed to continue no matter what will happen next, I will personally continue using this good alternative ways of transacting online, I love bitcoin since the first day i knew about it.

but i would definitely be disappointed to see satoshi is such a shady character to be honest.

I have no personal problems with the guy... He is a bit quirky and as you said.. weird, but he has some impressive qualifications and a broad general knowledge.. which makes him interesting. It is

boring to have people with only one or two specialized interests and I think he might be a interesting character. I do not mind where he or she or they come from... I am only interested in what goes

on in their mind. If he is Satoshi, we can ask some questions like these : Why did you leave? / Will you spend your coins / Is Gavin a standup guy?
