Largest evacuation in Alberta history.

I used to live/work up there.   Embarrassed

It's been 29 degrees in Edmonton the last 2 days and will be 30 degrees today.  Imaginary global warming...

They kind of have it coming.. Alberta is full of Trailer Trash !

When i moved to Edmonton they had mouthwash in locked displays.
I found all my old friends were into smoking crack and the town was over run with cocaine etc.
I seen guys spraying Lysol into empty plastic milk jugs downtown then adding water and drinking it.

And those Oil Rig guys are just the worst.. cocky drunks with way too much money.

Karma..

I have a buddy who lives lived in the Beacon Hill area.. I think it's safe to say his house is probably gone now. Unfortunately it sounds like the fire went right through that neighborhood..

The fire just seems to be getting worse and worse, and this dry hot weather that the prairies is getting isn't helping out at all either. This reminds me a lot of the La Ronge fires last year, but the big difference is that the Fort McMurray fire seemed to appear out of nowhere, while the people in La Ronge and surrounding area had a few days/weeks to prepare to leave.

The monster fire seems unstoppable and they predict it could double it size. This is truly a catastrophe in many ways. The people fleeing will probably never see their homes and belongings again.

I have plenty of family, who luckily have made it out without harm. They are making their way to the East Coast (Nova Scotia) to stay with me, and my family, for the time being. Relief funds are set up in various places, personally, I have donated $1275 to the cause so far, aswell clothing, and such. Tragic incident, I feel for those affected, god bless you all.

This happens all over the place.. even here in my town a few years back.
I don't think we got hit as hard though here in Kelowna though.

I heard they don't know what caused it and what made it spread worse than normal
was the winds were erratic which made it hard to make ANY effort to fight it for one thing.

Summer is not even here yet and we are getting lit up with heat here in BC / Alberta already.
i am dreading it and i REALLY can't stand the "sun worshipers"
My town is full of them.. no matter how hot it gets all i hear is
morons saying how "beautiful" it is outside..

I tell these idiots why don't you go home and crank up your over to Broil
then stuff your fucking face in there and then slam the god damn door closed
and then tell me how fucking "beautiful" it is fucking retard.

These stupid ass dipshit cancer head look twice as old as they are from the sun
and their burned leathery skin is NOT attractive either.

I have spent my life as a kid getting burned lots and learning.. the sun is a fag !
So growing up i stayed away from it as much as possible more & more.
And now i turn 41 this year and i still get ID'd for smoke everywhere i go EVERY TIME !
I have had a MILLION compliments on how young i look.
Answer ? ..simple
Stay the fuck out of the sun idiots !
Or.. you will wind up looking like a leather hand bag.

And i don't doubt Global Warming is happening (i was joking earlier)
But that show i mentioned did bring up a lot of good parts to the history of the fraudulent green movement.
Check out that episode people seriously !

I do know that estimates are not looking good.. sea levels are set to rise.
And it's playing out as predicted.
If people need to see proof of the earth heating up and CHANGING
they can research the Satellite recordings of the Ice Shelves breaking off & melting.
MOST of them are long gone.. they break off all the time and drift away and melt.
And that is what is keeping us alive.. with out them we are going to hyper accelerate the heating.

Do we have some wiggle room to debate whether it's all a byproduct of man + fossil fuels etc ?
Maybe ?
Maybe it's simply procession ?
The earth spins on a wobble that resets it's tilt every 26,000 years roughly
so it IS possible there could be more at work here then our short term records indicate.

Anyway that is getting off-topic Wink
I do think the rising temp's help to create the RISK of these kind of fires though.
And every year here in BC or Alberta Canada we have a bad fire season..
Also down into the USA too of course.. where there is shit loads of fires burning all the place.
Sadly we have not even gotten started yet.. i bet the worst is yet to come this year.

Lightning is often attributed to these starting too.
And i smoke so i make sure my cigarettes are put out always !

EDIT: added a picture taken from a Flight from Vancouver to Germany

They should be singing "If I only had a brain!"  Tongue While running from the flames of mother nature having her payback after 40 years of raping her(yes doing it that way from that tar sands place is worst then what the arabs are doing) for her lives blood!  Angry

As far as i am aware the possible Oil Rigs in the region had no bearing on any of it.

I did see a News story recently where they said the Oil sands were causing earth quakes.
A govt funded study proved it beyond any doubt.

I bet it was a smoker or a camp fire not put our or lightning.
Then it was super hot & dry so the Forest lit up in flames super easy.
I doubt they will ever find the cause of it.
But this is a serious problem all over the globe.

I hope people are super extra careful with fire no matter what or where.
And maybe we need to invest more in proactive fire suppression ?
Such as when lightning strikes are recorded in remote areas
we can have some planes fly around looking for smoke "occasionally*
Maybe more so than we do now already..

What sucks and i am not sure is obvious to people is that these pretty much burn uncontrolled
until conditions improve so we can even "try* and fight them.
I often here about how the Fire crews are ALL 100% standing down.. waiting.
Such as Fort Mac where they estimated Friday that it would double in size over the weekend.
And they said they had a small army on hand on Friday and yet there was nothing they could do but stand back.
I think we just assume they are fighting it.. when one of these happen.
You need good conditions to even TRY though.. otherwise you have to sit & watch as it all burns !

It is real. http://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/ but most prefer to deny the hard truth.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. This wildfire had nothing to do with oil, it's been a dry year and as a result, there have been quite a few fires fairly early into the season.

Next time, before you badmouth Canada and the people living here do a little research, or else you'll end up looking like a moron as you did in your previous post.
