Which confirms the credibility of the authorities in developed countries to Bitcoin, as well as progress in the economy and her development. These rules must be neutral with respect to technologies without disturbing their development.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Switzerland is a great country. Not ideal, but one of the best in the world. What's unusual there is that the government is really caring about their people and at least is not preventing the citizens to make the life more convenient. Of course using Bitcoins makes your life more convenient.

I admire the dedication of people of the Swiss city of Zug to promote Bitcoin as a legitimate payment method for settling utility bills but I wonder how they are going to pay with Bitcoin as it's not reported in the article. Are there going to be Bitcoin addresses posted on the offical website of the city or people will need to visit a payment terminal in an office or something? It would be cool to be able to pay from home though.

This is getting some wider media attention: http://www.nasdaq.com/article/latest-satoshi-stories-overshadow-real-bitcoin-news-cm620026... Critics of Bitcoin maintain that that is of little use if the currency in question is not universally accepted, but the other news of significance, reported by NBC recently, takes us one step closer to that being the case. The town of Zug in Switzerland has announced that it will become the first municipality to accept Bitcoin in payment for some fees. It is not universal acceptance, of course, but it is a major step forward for crypto currency.... And from yesterday: http://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/bitcoin-breakthrough-cryptocurrency-welcome-zug-switzerland-n571921

Agree, if I had to choose the best country, I'd pick Switzerland. They are the closest thing to the direct democracy out there, being the world's leader in number of referendums held.

There are aspects of Switzerland that are admirable. The referendum thing really should be more widely implemented as long as the population takes it seriously. Can't say I've enjoyed being there or met many likable Swiss folks though.

Given the amount of money that goes around the country per person, I think this is gonna be great for Bitcoin moving forward.

the reason that it didnt get highlighted is 98% of signature spammers dont even have enough funds to care about the banking system of the swiss. but for all of them large businesses that love their off shore trusts and other financial loop holes aswell as paying low tax. this is a big deal

Well its an amazing news ,the fact a developed country and Swiss is a rich country and if one city is working with trial to allow payments for me its a huge step into the adoption of bitcoin and maybe others countries can co-work with national companies and offer similiar service till bitcoin become a currency and a option to pay.
